If you have a way that you are able to taste test juices before you buy them, one drop at a time, or are making them yourself, then yes... Getting a phoenix (bottom coil) or a simple atomizer would allow you to do that, with little waste and can generally be cleaned and vaped again with the next juice. Note that many atomizers are known to be leaky. If you're using an automatic non-sealed volt battery, then juice can leak into the battery and cause a short, effectively killing your battery.
Hope that helps.

Ok, I would not do the dripping as a newbie. There is a technique to it. If you drip too much, then you flood the atty and get it all over the battery. You need a manual battery for it as well.

You don't want to use a carto to test Flavors. First, because it mutes the Flavors. Second, because if you don't like the flavor, you've wasted a carto. Personally, I don't want to spend $1.85 on a carto to test a juice.

Use the Phoenix bottom coil 2.4-2.6ohms. I just posted a video on YouTube demonstrating the Phoenix on the volt. Here is the link. Smokeless Image Volt and Phoenix from Got Vapes Review - YouTube

The bottom coil is easier to clean out than the top coil if you don't like the juice because of the shorter wicks. Also, it is the most similar to the taste you would get with the si carto. The top coil is similar to the x2 clearos. Again , get the 2.4-2.6. Because they are 1.5ml, the vapor is too cool with the 2.6-2.8.

Gotvapes is having a fathers day sale. "daddyrules" will get you 5% off and if you subscribe to their newsletter, you get another 5%. By the way, once you try the Phoenix, you'll never want to use a carto again

That was one long video ... BUT, well worth my time. You provided a great deal of info. Thank you for explaining so much!

I have never seen them in anything less than a 5 pack. If someone sells them individually, you'll pay more.

Yes, you can use an adapter, but why bother since gotvapes carries them in 808. Also, I'm not sure if you are using manual or auto batteries, but many times adapters don't work on autos
How strong are these made?
I use my Volt as a device to keep in my front jeans pocket for easy portibility. I've been afraid to use any type of tank system on my Kgo or Twist in my jeans pocket because the stress can cause the tube's base to seperate from the threads causing leaking.

Would you reccommend using a Pheonix on a device you can stick in your pants pocket without fear of having it leak breaking it? My rule of thumb is that if it goes in my pocket, I only use cartomizers.

They hold up really well. I work outside in Construction and always have it my pocket. It gets banged around all the time and has not leaked a drop. The plastic is not the same as the clearomizers and doesn't crack. I have actually pressed the tube together and it hasnt cracked or broken
