hello ECF,

I've been vaping for about 2 months, primarily with volt + cartomizers. recently I ordered a volt X2 (larger battery, 808) & a couple of X2 clearomizers (Stardust style) just to try them & I'm loving it so far. cartos I like but I seem to over or under soak them, & they taste funny after a day or so. I'd stick with the Stardusts but they cost around $7 a piece, whereas the Phoenix bottomcoil 808's cost around $2.50 apiece. & from watching videos the phoenix seems easier to clean, & leak-proof. I can't imagine anything working much better than this volt X2 clearomizer (Stardust) but I'm wondering if anyone has tried the Volt X2 (or similar battery) with the phoenix & am looking for input. I'll probably order the 2.4 - 2.6 ohm version. . thanks

I haven't tried the Phoenix, but I can tell you without a doubt the the similar Fluxomizers work great on a Volt battery, either the X2 or the smaller ones. The Fluxomizers are a top coil, but they wick real well even with the 70%VG juice I use. They don't leak a drop, even if you hold them upside down for an hour. They're super easy to clean and they taste better than any of the bottom coil cartos I've ever tried.

I used bottom coil CE3s for a long time before I found the Fluxomizers because of wicking problems I had with top coil clearos and my thick juice. I can tell you that they work better than any bottom coil i ever used and I'll never go back.

One problem with bottom coils is that after they're taken apart for cleaning, they will leak. The coil heats the bottom seals and the tube and they never fit as well as they did from the factory. They also have a cooler vapor than a top coil of the same resistance because the vapor has to travel so much further to hit you lips.

A box of 5 Fluxomizers XLs costs $9 at Gotvapes. I've cleaned mine 5 or 6 times each and have had yet to have one burn out after 2 months. And, still not one leak. Like the Phoenix, they also come in a 2.4-2.6ohm 808 version and some people here (Mroutlaw for one) have used them on regular volt batteries with very good results.

I haven't tried the Phoenix, but I've used the fluxomizers. They fluxomizers work great on the x2 and the standard volt. As much as I love the volt cartomizer, the fluxo from gotvapes is better. It is basically the clearomizer In a carto tube.

I am a very loyal SI customer. If they sell something, I generally buy it for them even if it is a $1 or $2 more. The customer service is just worth the extra. The good thing is that with the discount coupons they have, they always are cheaper. That being said, when they do have a ce2, it will be the same thing sold in other places right now only with improvements. At that time, I will order from them but until then, I will purchase from gotvapes. It's worth the try. You get the convience of not having to worry about burning the filler, with the size and shape of a carto. I also like the warmer vape. It's like having a LR carto.

I'm not really liking the fluxomizers close to as much as the SI clearomizer. (plastic muted taste even after modding etc.) ordered some Phoenix bottom coil hoping they are better. if not I'll just stick with the SI clearomizers, they rule!

The Phoenix is ten times better than the fluxo

I just got these clearomizers today, and they would work on one of my Volt automatics, but not on an identical one. It also wouldn't work on my X2 manual. Ultimately, I had to sand about 1 mm off the bottom edge of the Phoenix and it works on all 3 batteries. No flooding like SI's (stardust) clearomizer either.

I can tell you that the Phoenix works on all my volt batteries, but on the x2, i cant screw it tight. 1/4 turn before tight and it's works

The clearomizers are plastic. I would also recommend the Phoenix bottom coil with the Volt, regular or X2 batteries. I'm vaping with the Phoenix and a 1300 X2 right now. The only downside to the Phoenix is needing to fill it with a syringe. Otherwise, very nice tank carto. The Volt manufacturer is in the process of creating their own tank carto that will not require filling with a syringe. I'm looking forward to seeing if it will work as well as the Phoenix.
