I hope this works as I am still on my iPad in Cozumel Mexico today so please check the images from my dropbox links.
This transparent tube you see it is called hot shrink tube , used to seal electrical cables tighter together . After 48 hours still not even one single drop of juice on my clearomizer .

Thanks. I imagine this would also help stop the tube from slipping off.

I don't have much of either problem since I use the 3ml BD syringe. The leaking I have is the liquid come out of the atty hole when it's not in use. Anyone figure out a fix for this, please let me know.

When I can get the CE2's to not leak this happens to me as well, although the cracked base is more catastrophic leak wise. I have noticed that the atty leaking doesn't happen as much with the regular sized CE2's, but much more with the XL's. Maybe the volume of liquid has something to do with it?

JJ, I throwed two (2) middle rings in mine and pack the DT in real firmly. My juice literally runs out the tip when inverted without the second ring. 2 rings not a great solution, but better than without it. I shoulda come up with the electrical shrink tubing. Great suggestion Mari. JMHO
