Long time vapist here. Been on custom rolled coils and DIY juice for at least 10 years now.

Not asking for a diagnosis but was just curious if anyone else has ever noticed a very quiet clicking, crackling or popping sound coming from their mouth (I assume actually coming from throat or lungs) upon exhaling or inhaling. I can hear it when I'm in a very quiet area. It's subtle, but this is what I would describe the sound is like:

Imagine you're inflating a plastic bag. The last few little creases in the plastic straightening out as the bag fully inflates; imagine the sound that would make. This is what I'm hearing sometimes upon inhaling or exhaling. Curious to see if anyone else has ever experienced this.

I use a vaporesso gen s
Vandyvape Pyro RDTA
.5ohm @ 42w (low clouds)
Roughly 12ml/day
3mg nic. 70/30 vg/pg
vaping since 2007.

I’ve heard some long-time vapers mention similar sounds, especially those who have been vaping for years. It could simply be your lungs adjusting to airflow or even small moisture bubbles in your throat. However, if the sound persists or comes with other symptoms (chest tightness, cough, shortness of breath), it might be worth getting checked to rule out any inflammation or fluid buildup.

Since you’ve been vaping for a long time and use custom setups, you might also try adjusting your PG/VG ratio or wattage to see if it makes a difference. Has anyone else noticed something similar?
