Thank you Kate. This is exactly what I was looking for.
I am composing a letter to officials here in Iceland asking for there stand on how to handle e-cigs. In this letter I try to summarize what is known about this product and how it can possibly help smokers cut down on their smoking or quit altogether. This letter is in Icelandic but if people here are interested I could translate it to English and post it here.
I hope it goes well Shogun. There doesn't really seem to be much formal research in the public domain at the moment. There is a clinical study in New Zealand that is due to conclude later this year. Unfortunately Dr Loi was told by the authorities not to continue his study but he might have found a way around that.
I'd like to read a copy of your letter (in English, lol) so yes please, post it here.
That is amazing. You should contact them again, and again until they reply. Common sense tells us that e-cigs should be much healthier than real cigarettes. That is something WHO should be interested in.
apparently WHO have classed them as being no more safer than than real cigarettes and delayed an import into bahrain on such grounds. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-clueless-difference-between-cigs-e-cigs.html
though it would be in big pharm's interest to have them classed as such wouldnt it?
there is no info about them on their so though. who's working for who?
