Hello ECF folks...

Still fairly new to this wonderful world and learning as I go as we all do, but I was just wondering if other folks have had this experience with flavors leaking into to the shaft of a clearo (not killing the clearo mind you)...

I had two minty flavors (Blue Ice with high PG and Candy Cane with high VG I can't remember the exact mix ratio off the top of my head) that I used in a Kanger T3 clearo, and it would start gurgling about 3-6 puffs in no matter how many times I cleaned out the shaft, blew out the atty, switched to a fresh atty, tried a quick dry burn, etc...

New flavor (Chocolate Cake all VG) in a Kanger Protank started gurgling after a few puffs, so I started the great clearing again: blowing out, cotton swab to the shaft, quick dry burn, etc. Sure enough 3 puffs in, and the gurgling returns.

This just seems really curious to me. On all occasions, the clearo was not overfull or nearly empty and were about half full (around 1-1.5 ml).

Any thoughts...

Gurgling is almost always a sign of juice in the center tube. Like you, I've experienced that same situation with every single Kanger and bottom coil clearo I've tried.

I use vivi novas now. I also still use the old CE2s when I can find them. As long as you keep them upright you never get juice into the tube.

Yes, obviously there's some juice getting in the center...I have given up on the Kanger T3 completely because of this issue. But, I change flavors from the leaky gurgly flavor to a different and eureka, no gurgling. It just seems odd that one flavor will get in the center and another won't. I have a carto and tank en route just for the sake of having one. I've been eye-balling the vivi novas for some time, and have it on my mental wish list....

Congrats on almost 2 yrs analog free BTW...:toast:

Well I do like the vivi nova, to me it's the best all around off the shelf delivery system.

What I'm thinking is this...are the two juices you are switching out the same pg/vg ratio? If so, perhaps the thinner one is infiltrating the wick there whereas the thicker one might just not be getting through?

I make most of my own juice and its 50/50. I've not experienced the gurgling with the thicker stuff but at 70pg/30vg I have.

I know there are some youtube videos on these, maybe have a look. Someone suggested taking a tooth pick and maybe fluffing out the wick. I tried that myself but it didn't seem to help.

I've thought about the PG/VG ratio, but the last time this happened was with two different flavors that were both at 80vg/20pg. For some reason, I think it might be the mint flavoring in the juice that might be making it slip in through the wick area or through the gasket area....anyway, it's just a curiosity. Thanks for the input.
