Copper is to soft for an apocalypse mod.

I suppose if your going to be playing football with them, I have copper gutters and awnings on one of my houses exterior that's over 12 years old ...........
Oh, so you want to move from regulated mods to unregulated so that you can *safely* fire 20A+? Yeah, sure.

I'll skip the warnings. Stop it. Stop it right now.

I tried to sell her on the 26650 mod but maybe I must have come across to condescending ?

on a paralell does the power come from both batts simultaneously and with a series it comes from one than the other? Like stacking two batteries?

1: on a parallel setup power comes from both batteries simultaneously.
2: on a series setup power comes from both batteries simultaneously.
3: series is the same meaning as stacking two batteries.

that noisy cricket seems to be a no-centerpin mech. disaster in the hands of somebody who doesn't understand.

dual batt mechs are usually parallel, not series.

Did it once, but was drunk rather than complacent. Lol! Luckily they were 26650's and it was a hammond box. I got them out before they vented. It did get a tad warm though.

me too; not in a mod but on a cheap dual bay charger;
didn't have my glasses on.
flathead type (or fatbutton) batts.
smelt it.
fried the charger.

The threads my friend, think about the threads. You only unscrew copper threads so many times before they won't anymore.
I won't bore you with the "Principles and Application of Tribology" tho' ;)

Good thing I'm very .... about that, even though I know which side is which, I always check my batteries and the mod. I think this is bc I use Flat top Samsung's (the pinks) but it's second nature now, even though my kbox is protected, I don't trust it.

15A at 4.2V is about a 0.3 ohms. For safety sake, keep your builds above .5 ohms with that battery.

I use the VTC4's and don't build under .3 ohms on a mech. (I use 24G Nichrome 80 wire. Dual coils, 8 wraps each @ 3mm = +/- .3 ohms) That's about 15A and it's a great vape. Huge clouds at 60W (which is where you end up on a mech with a fully charged battery). There's no need to build any lower than that. The same build with 28G kanthal gives you about 1.0 ohms and vapes just as well, but is slightly slower to ramp up.

Hey I just got back on, I know I know, I have to get different batteries. And these are 2 for 20, sound better? I'm not going to even use the mod without the new batteries, and it's looking like it's stuck in an Arizona sorting facility for now anyway....Damn usps. I hate waiting.....I'll check back in before I even open the box. As to make sure I don't kill myself and have plenty of people to yell at me if I do.

Draining a battery at between 0.2-0.15 ohms will take about 3-5% off its life. After 10 cycles a 20A battery will become a 10A battery.

If you dont mind recycling your batteries every five cycles have fun.

With dual parallel you only loose 1-2% per cycle.

No.. that can't be right. Can it? Can anybody else confirm this. It just doesn't seem right that the battery would degrade that quickly. I know guys who would be replacing their batteries weekly, or at the worst have them blowing up in their faces from overtaxing. Why would simply discharging them quickly cause them to lose 5% of their overall battery life? I'd be spending more on batteries that I was spending on cigarettes.

    End of line.
