k100 or chi you clone are both solid the Chi You has a telescopic pin which takes a bit of getting used to but not much of a learning curve. It also lacks a bottom battery insulator which some have stated could be a safety hazard but then again my life is statistical safety hazard so I use it anyways and it hasn't killed me yet. The Chentinel is also a nice mod. Check the reviews in youtube and just start with one you will soon find you will own more than you need anyways mos likely at the price most of them are.

I ended up going with the all brass v3 and trident clone from FT. Now......I wait.
I couldnt justify the price of the other mods....also im cheap. I got a spool of kanthal, wick, and 2 efest 18650 imr batts from myvaporstore. I'm looking forward to the new vape but I'm bummed that I have to wait for the mod while it rides the slow boat from china. Anyone that has brass mods, have you guys aged yours at all? I dont think ill like the polished look of it.

check the EhPro round 2 co op... michliu is the best facilitator; he checks everything out thoroughly and tells you exactly whats up with each item.
He's getting input on all the hot clones... and these are ones the vets want too; its really hard to keep track because there are so many clone versions of each different mod. some are junk and dangerous too.
I find thats my biggest problem, though I've only been at this a very short time, but its much like information overload. Like you say, there are so many devices out there, and they just keep coming, I have no idea what is worth it and whats not. I just can't keep up. lol

I imagine the co-op you speak of is here on this forum? If not, got a link? TIA. Either way I suppose its a good incentive for me to participate here and get my post count up so I can start posting and participating in the other sections - the classifieds too! :D

I really like the Sigelei #24, for what it's worth. I took off the little key chain ring, but it may come in handy some day. It is a nice, simple and rugged little mech. I actually have 2. For under 25 bucks, it makes a fantastic little beater. One of them has a wonky button and misfires once in a blue moon, but the other one is flawless.

I got a K-100 processing at fasttech..and I'm already eyeing the Sentinel V3 All Brass..gets alot of good reviews and has a low voltage drop. I've told myself no ordering anything until my first order arrives!!..So much good stuff to choose from

The k100 is another good one,

I have had five mechs with one on the way from F/T and they are all brilliant.

@apex, if it is real brass, it will patina (oxidize) before you can blink an eye... turns all darkish and gnarly. heheh. no joke though.

i like brass good enough, but if you want it to look good you are constantly cleaning with some formula.

IMO brass contacts are good because they conduct well, are pretty easy to de oxidize (to maintain conductivity)...

another weakness is brass connector threads can strip so be careful there. I have a couple/few brass mods but prefer SS connector threads.

See that's what's hard. There are 18 dollar clones that can perform like 180 dollar ones. The new list is as follows. In no particular order,

Brass v3.
Sig 8w
Chi you clone (is there a brass model avaliable? )
..... any side buttons that perform as well as these?
I'm liking the chi clone but I am a fan of brass.

I was watching Joe & Tyger on Vapestrong last night and Tyger was talking about the softer metal threads. She said she twists in a counterclockwise direction until you feel it drop into the groove and THEN she begins to screw in the correct direction - sounded like a good idea to me! I picked up the Sentinel M16, the TVS telescopic, and also the generic Bolt/Volt for a backup in my car yesterday.
