$20.96 Private V2 Telescoping Mech Mod E-Cigarette Battery Compartment - brass + copper + stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Sold out at the moment.
This is different from the original release of the Private V2
Besides the materials, we have:
Better shaped (bolt head type) top and bottom caps with the flat cuts protruding to keep it from rolling (off a table).
Threaded inner sleeve tubes to connect main outer tube and top and bottom caps.
Silver plated firing button pin and 510 center pin.
2 vent holes in the center of the main outer tube (no vent holes on the sleeves like the first model).
Pics straight out of the plastic (no box lol).
Yes it has little tiny marks on the end caps - probably from careless handling during manufacturing; but the tubes are very nice.
Sexy copper lock ring

See how fast that turns green.lol.

The 510 center pin is a "floating design" - although it is in there REALLY tight. I see a few people have complained about this.
If it was loose and it just fell out when you put your atty on - people would cry about that too.
But tighter is always better imo
At least you can loosen it up a little.
I punched mine out and filed/sanded a little to get it to "float". Just as I did with my other GV clones.
If you don't have a small round file just use a piece of sand paper wrapped around a small screwdriver.
Just do little at a time and keep test fitting. You want to have to press it in still, but when you screw your
atty on it will move. You don't want it to just fall out on you.
I like a little noalox on my lock ring threads and tube threads - it slows down the screwing movement but helps to keep it from binding (plus better conductivity).
I put a little blue (light) loctite on my button threads to keep it from backing out easily.
I like how it so nicely holds the battery - might be a problem for batteries with thick sleeves.
I think this PV2's 510 connector maybe a wee bit short - but I haven't tried all my atty's with it yet.
I did have to adjust my 510 center pin out a little on my trident clone. But I had it fully tight (slightly recessed) before.
So, despite the website description and what some other people may say - it can be used in 18350 mode if done correctly.
Screwed my atty (trident clone) all the way on flush first, then screw the tubes down. Nipple top Efest 18350 battery.
Screw the ends in evenly - and viola - the vent hole is still open. Obviously it will have very slight gaps on the ends - but doesn't look bad to me. With slightly shorter batteries - you could always use a magnetic battery spacer at the top.
18490/18500
18650
yeah, you can just start to see the top portion of where the inner sleeves threads begin in 18650.
looks fine to me.
So, there's a long a$$ed post for ya.
I really like it - it's my favorite out of all the GV clones (I have all the pokemon....clones).
