HELP
I'm addicted to Castle Long juice from five pawns. I would love to find a DIY recipe, even without oak barrel aging.... Just cant get anywhere close.

If someone has a castle long or castle long reserve recipe please share it with me.... nutty coconut bourbon and oaky tobacco undertones.... coconut being dominant to me?

Any help would be appreciated.

I sincerely cannot stand coconut in any way, shape or form.
I've NEVER liked anything with any amount of coconut in it.
One of my buddies had to force me to taste Castle Long and BAM!
That liquid is not an ADV, but it's quite heavenly. It really surprised me.

I've already ordered some coconut (FA), but I know I'm going to have a hard time getting anywhere close
to Castle Long. It's a strangely balanced juice and the flavor profile is very complex.
The first hurdle to overcome is the fact that the dominant coconut note is a roasted coconut.
Maybe there IS a "roasted coconut" concentrate, but I didn't find one...

With my "love" for coconut, I plan on wasting a lot of supplies once I start trying this one.
If I come up with anything anywhere close to Castle Long, I'll surely post it.

Have a good day all :)

I'm intrigued by Castle Long also - what do you think is the flavor of the tobacco base? Not sure where to start without knowing which tobacco to start with!

I don't use Castle Long, but I was going to say that brown sugar and/or toasted almond can impart a roasted flavor when mixed with coconut.

THEN I looked at Five Pawn's description: "You’ll taste toasted coconut, roasted almond, brown sugar, two different vanillas (Madagascar vanilla bean and French vanilla), Kentucky bourbon, and charred oak." Looks like your other flavors will lend the toasted flavor you're seeking.

With that FA Coconut, I'd use some TFA Toasted Almond and TFA Brown Sugar Extra. FA has a Tahitian Vanilla (best one for coconut, in my opinion), a Bourbon Vanilla (which is a 'Madagascar vanilla bean'), and a Vienna Cream that could do the role of both 'Madagascar vanilla bean and French vanilla.' I would also get both FA's Whiskey and TFA's Kentucky Bourbon. I know FA's tastes like authentic whiskey, but I haven't tried TFA's. Charred oak - I don't really know, but there is an Oak Wood flavor or two out there. Sounds like that's an accent to chase after the other flavors are all correct.

Good luck to you!

I'm working on a Suicide Bunny(mother's milk) clone. The juice itself is currently my favorite juice, Cosmic Fog(Milk and Honey) being my second. I've pinpointed Capella's vanilla custard as the main flavor in it, and am fooling with Flavor Art's fresh cream to take it to the next level.

So far I have it in a 20/80 PG/VG blend

Capella's vanilla custard 5%
Flavor Art fresh cream 5%

I'll probably drop the fresh cream down to 3%, and I could probably go for adding a little EM to sweeten it up a little. It's really close, just a little creamier, and a little less sweet.

Here is what Gregoroth (post #249 in this thread) has come up with for a clone:

"Suicide Bunny Mothers Milk Clone
Capellas Sweet Strawberry 10%
Lorann Cheese Cake 5%
Lorann Bavarian Cream 3%
NF Organic Vanilla Cream 3%
Capellas Vanilla Custard 2%

To me, this tastes pretty spot on, you can add Flavor West Cake (Yellow) flavor but it REALLY funks up your coil fast!"

Can I suggest sucralose (small amounts) or marshmallow instead of EM? EM can mute/fade your flavoring. And I'm reading wonderful reviews of the FA Strawberry lately, fwiw.

Heck yes it can! So many people seem to like EM as a sweetener though I thought it was just me who didn't ha. I found that out when I ran out of my regular sweetener and tried using EM. To me it added no sweetness whatsoever just muted the flavors and added some weird underlying chemical taste. It was a long 3 days until my order of sweetener came in the mail. Sorry to go off topic. I just really don't like EM
