Good evening all. Just dropping to say hey. Baby Bryce is cuter than ever :) I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! I've been busy with work, kids, house and The Sophia. The Sophia being the most fun part lol. I've made my ver first coils and did so pretty darn well. Still enjoying my delicious juice and will have to get an order in soon. I've been letting the cupcake steep a bit and think I will fill a tank up tomorrow with my Sophia and cupcake and vape away. It smells good enough to drink lol.

I had not heard of the Sophia until you posted a couple days ago, so I had to look it up. I am curious what made you choose the Sophia?

Well, I did enjoy carto tanks but kept wanting something more. I stumbled across the Sophia threads and read just about every post I could and just knew this was exactly what I needed and I'm so happy I took the leap. I couldn't be more happy. It's easy to use, easy to build the coils, fits in any carto tank, cheaper in the long run because I don't have to keep buying cartos and I'll be building my own coils. It just works perfectly for me. By the beginning of this coming week I will have 6 complete Sophia's and 0 regrets. I'm not a heavy vapor by any means but I was blowing through cartos pretty fast. I can't say enough good thing about The Sophia really. They work perfectly on my ProVari Minis as well. I fell in love with Bryan's juice right off the bat, but after loading up my tank with his juice, using my Sophia, it really blew my sox off! In a vapalicious way!

A place some call paradise
I don't think you'll be disappointed. After using the kayfun for a few hours I'm super pleased, I just needed to give the wick some time to.... Start wicking. Imagine that :p

My biggest issue with my Russian has been the wicking as well. I've been doing organic cotton myself but I'm starting to get it.

Why would the wick need time? I just built a 2 ohm micro-coil and stuck a cotton wick in it. It's vaping like a champ. I may be OD'ing on 6mg juice.

It wasn't much time. Its working like a champ now. Could maybe use a tad less cotton next time. I didn't prime the wick nearly enough either so it just took some of the vacuum to kick in to get the juice where it needed to be. No problems now.

The black edition has a bottom AFC screw that I just removed and left a microscopic gap between the kfl and the top of the mod, tight draw solved.

But I do have one problem. The top of the chimney doesn't budge. I even tried covering the top with a dishrag and taking a pair of needle nose pliers to it.

Well.... It should? Maybe it overtightened or the oring bound up in the threads a bit?

Possibly try soaking it in hot water for a bit to make the metal expand.. Or in ice water to make it contract? I can't remember which one would be a better idea because it's way too late for my mind to work properly.

So hot water or cold?

I do microcoils.. Very easy to do and use "sterile" cotton balls from CVS.. I unravel the cotton ball and cut off a strip..

That's pretty much what mine looks like, but my micro-coil is perpendicular to the screws.
