I figure it will take some break in. I am using all VTC4s, it's fine really, it's just all new right now

When I got my first tmod, I was surprised at the stiffness of the button, within a week it became buttery smooth

If it's auto firing and you untwist the atty like ten degrees it will stop ... just FYI .
by the time I noticed it was too late,i hoopled it for sure and I don't hoople much...ha ha.thanks for the info though.what I did was added tape to the battery to tighten up the batt and when I put the batt in I didn't seat it in the bottom of the hole so when I put the top on it took off firing and that's why im waiting on the new piece for my brass button.you can bet I wont ever not check to make sure the battery is all the way down ever again.was really bummed I cooked a 25r battery, live and learn!

Besides the very cool feeling in hand, it's not rough, this is one of those things that a camera can't really even do justice to.

Could this be done in reverse? Mill the lines, then add the color (a cool blue would be my choice) then use the sander to remove the all the color except for the milled lines.

I think that's what Dan was getting at. Would be cool to only sand or mill the etched area, leaving the color in the etched grooves and on the non-etched parts of the mod.

Have to say the clear over the bead blasted brass looks great and I am betting will very much lessen any of the outside polishing needs. It's simple and elegant. It also takes a bit of the edge off the bottom making it nice in hand. I definitely know it's there, I mean that in a good way. Just using them all day the button is feeling better or I am getting to know what good is. Thanks Tom, great job!

I must have missed that. I think blue in the grooves of a brushed aluminum mod would be sweet. It would add great depth to an already beautiful work of art.

Tmod Tools have velcro on the tips and come with three replacement discs, the discs are sandpaper with a velcro backing. They are fifteen bucks, if you want one go ahead and shoot me a pm, if you want it included with a mod that is shipping in the future just let me know.
