I have went back but cant seem to find the status of the vector top caps, have they been finished/shipped?
Thanks, rudedog - even the info that brass is about twice the weight of Al is useful. I haven't quite made the decision to PM Tbev yet ... I'm very, very close, though
I'm not yet half-way through browsing this thread, but I've got the impression that any estimate of time will, at best, be roughI've also been wondering when would be a 'good' time to message Tom ... but he's always flat out, so there is no good time.
koolest thing is that you can send a half down and make payments if ya cant afford all at once payment.bummer thing is you just missed a sale on these brushed and something else.i got one with both ends squared off(boy mod) my brass is rounded(girl mod)on both ends.i was really hopin the one was still on ecf sale page for you cuz it had been there quite a while.just happens is sold though.you woulda got the benefit of not havin any wait time.i found my first Tmod on ecf sale page and got spoiled by no wait time and had sent it in to Tom for cerecoting to sniper grey and then traded that for the brass girl that ive sent back to Tom for the snakeskin/dragonskin treatment.havin separation anxiety now since she's been gone a while. Thanks, rudedog - even the info that brass is about twice the weight of Al is useful. Beautiful Doffy - thank you. I do love that finish too. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

so be fair warned these are just as addicting as any other vape items but these are handmade by an artist....but if you drop them it wont break into a buncha pieces.while it still hurts the owner when they get a mark on them,or get slung out onto a gocart track and tore to bits(but keeps vaping)and you are crying out OH NO!!!rest assured you can even send it back to get put back into almost new condition!.i cant remember the pages but their was the gocart mod b4 and after pics.AMAZING what was able to be done to bring it back to almost new condition.sorry for the long post but I was all againt EVER getting one of these in the beginning! BUT since I have WOW im all for the beasty hits these mods shove out!they are tuff in every sense of the word for sure.truly words cannot explain how these work and plenty of conversations since ive got mine, the brass one especially.so just send Tom some money and get it overwith since their aren't anymore for sale in the ecf sale page and they usually don't last long when they are there.
There are ways to minimize the scratching issue. I love the blasted finish! Even had Tom blast my buttonthe blasted does scratch, being aluminium. just worthy of a tiny note if you are a bit OCD, i think it adds character

I went way overkill with the 7068! But one of my desires with this mod was maximum durability

Actually the 6061 is Toms standard aluminum, he does some in 7075 but I only know of 3 he's done in 7068yeah, mine only has one tiny nick and it isn't the 7068, just standard [7074?]
Cerakote is a good idea. In fact Tom does a clear cerakote if you want to keep the natural metal color. Btw have you seen the reptile treatment?Hmmm - ta for that. Like anything new - the first scratch/stain is always the worst. My car is 15 years old. There are advantages to being able to just shrug when you find a supermarket trolley has run down the side of it
But having said that, I'm still leaning towards Cerakote. Definitely a Girl shape - my current squonker is that shape, and it fits my hand beautifully.
