what I did was added a shim between the button and the firing plate and it makes the throw shorter.my sniper mod I traded for the brass girl had a modded plate Tom had done for me when it was at his place for service paint job.that was almost to easy to fire so the shim is how I fixed my new T-Mods.only time the shim comes out is when ya mess with the button or plate so no worrys there.hope this helps someone with the throw on their mod.made mine much easier to fire and shorter throw to boot.you can bend the plate but I didn't care for that method,it can make a short button WAY short.

@rudedog - What did you make the shim from? Picture?

That only adjusts the height tho, if you want it higher or lower I can make ya a taller or shorter button, no prob. The throw on the other hand is longer to accommodate you geeks using button top batteries.
I find the button hard to press, but I thought it was just a woman thing. Will try a flat top battery.

This whole discussion could be alleviated if the batteries followed a more standardize sizing... Height may only vary by ~1mm but that can make a difference

The press lights up with time or atleast appears too ;) When I got my first Tmod, I found it stiff now I like it

Can someone post a few pics of the 26650 vs the 18650? I'm trying to make up my mind. Also the SX SERIES thx!

No pics right now don't have both with me... But I am preferring my 26650.. Bigger bottle (15ml) and longer battery life... Both fit comfortably in my hand, but the 26650 is heavier

I don't wanna post a pic of the firing system.but take the topcap off and put a piece of can bea piece of paper folded up into 1/16th of an inch thick by about a 1/4th inch wide(or however big you wanna try, just depends on what throw you want) and put it in between the black button part and thr copper firing plate that rides to hit the battery.pm me and ill give ya my email and I can send ya a pic if ya don't get it,like I did youll say im so ......ed I cant believe i didn't get that myself.its easy once ya look at how the button and firing plate work together.Tom just doesn't want the internals posted on here...ya know.exterior no problem.

I found the button on the Tmod loosened over the course of the first week, I shortened my throw just by putting a strong magnet under the negative, also makes maintenance easier as build up is happening n the magnet side that connects to battery.

No picture needed, I was actually thinking along those lines... I am the same way sometimes the easiest solution right tin front of my face, I am totally blind to

Doesn't the magnet introduce some extra v-drop? The Tmod hits hard and don't want to change that at all

It may well do but honestly nothing I notice so expecting if it does it's so minimal. The magnet is only 1mm thick, I just stripped and cleaned it, button has eased so removed magnet still feels the same to me so any volt drop really must be minimal.

It served its purpose button now broke in, I actually like the little resistance of the button.

I got used to mine also.when I first got it I was crying to TOm my thumb hurt.he said suck it up buttercup...lol.and so I did and now have 2 tmods and some other bf mods sittin cuz these things are badash!!to got from the brass girl then pickup a peko 18650 is like WOW such a diff.with Tom havin the machine shop the way he did my first firing plate was really cool.had a slot cutout down the middle of it but not all the way to the end.the grey sniper I had was a breeze to fire with that lil upgrade.so if anyone really cant take the button mash Tom has an awesome fix if you don't want or know how to do it.i personally was skeerd to mess with it for fear of screwin it up somehow... or hoople it up...lol.i am digging both T-Mods kkiet

The Tmod rocks, I'll soon be taking receipt of my 2nd and 3rd, still a way behind chowders 6 but I only started vaping last November and I'm up to 14 squonkers, getting difficult justifying another but the bugs took a grip there's no getting away from. Damn I love vaping [emoji13]
