Tom, looking at IonMan's pic above, I'd like to skip the cerakote paint on my Mini. Just the lizarding if that's okay. Sorry for the last minute change. The little Mini will be my carry around squonker and I don't want it to look like that after a week.
same for me Tom. Raw brush with lizard...will pm you.

Guys, please keep in mind. Mine took some serious abuse. It took dropping over 10ft and sliding across a gravel driveway to get all those chips in the cerakote.

I'm telling you guys you won't find a better color finish than cerakote. That's why I use it, it's the best. You'd be hard pressed to fingers anyone that treats a mod harder than a guy who builds them and could refinish his own any time . My Tiffany 18650 is like the absolute first mod I ever cerakoted and I'll post some pics, I use it everyday. I throw it on the ground, in a bag of tools, down on metal tables, etc. That's one of the best parts about my mods, they ate made to be abused, worse case scenario you can always refinish them.

Thanks for the additional, key, info. If I'm not mistaken, I believe your was also among the first so it's had the most "attention".[emoji41]

My clear coat was poor I know that much, scratch easy and I treat my mods well. It also discoloured as you know, never got to the bottom of how or why, I would say in areas it was really thin so maybe that didn't help

Being honest when I get scratches it bugs me, I'm as OCD as they come, I already confirmed the mini to be bead blasted with deeper print so I'll take to chrome if it starts getting marked.

More worried about the SX, if a 550 piece starts getting marked easily I'll be gutted. Ive only had the one finished on Cerakote but honestly wasn't impressed

There was some talk about a magnet on the bottom of the batts to get better contact was it a nemi magnet that was talked about?
These are the ones I'm using and they work quite well.

I'm on the road for work and my Tmod was giving me some firing issues so I figured I'd try the magnet spacer. Found the magnets below at Home Depot. Around $4.00 and one on the bottom of the battery makes all the difference.

Tom I have a spare black stumpy cap I could send you but no black drip tip, you could make a blue Delrin chuff cap for it though, that would look sweet!
