What features of a new mod do you care about most?
The reason I ask is, I think an sx350j board is 16.5mm thick. That's the same , pretty much, as adding an additional battery.
So if I'm gonna add something that a increases the size of the mod by that much I can add a battery and run it in parallel, add a battery and run it in series, or add a chip and still only have a 60w mod that's regulated.

gimme duel batts ive got a 60watt sx350 and its ok,but cant wait to get my tmod back to be honest and to have duel batterys would be more to my liking.but that's just me.i think a 2batt tmod would kick my sx350 in the rear!dont know about the j chip though,temp limits are pretty cool from what ive read but never had the option yet.a friend of mine does a mix of kanthal and ni200 and has some really good results with the temp limits.im not sold on the evolve chip though.they can have that one.sucks cuz im waiting on one from the Pigasus(yes pig) vape academy and oh my its supposed to be here the 4/15 and haven't heard from the guy in....FOREVER!so yeAH ID Rather give my coinage to you Tom least I KNOW you will deliver when ya say so!sorry for the rant...done
If I go with the two 18650s I would be shooting for the abulity to flip batteries so you have the option of running parallel or series. Don't really think a lot of people are interrested in running 7.4 in a mech...am I wrong? Id imagine your going to sdjust your builds down to something attainable by a single battery setup anyways right????
Personally, I would put my vote in for parallel since I love mechs. Tho it would increase the size a bit. That being said, I am very happy with how the TMod is made as is [emoji6]
But, I can imagine there is a market out there for your mod to have a regulated version.

Depends on what you want. Double the voltage means you can keep the resistance higher and makes it easier to keep the surface area up.
I ran 150W on 1.4 ohm 26 awg coil (14.5V) and preferred the vape over 150W on 0.10 ohms. That 1.4 ohm coil was ~14 wraps at 3mm diameter, so a lot of surface area. It's hard to get much surface area in a 0.1ohm coil. You have to use large wire or multiple strands. Even then 0.10 ohm single strand coil distributes heat differently than a 2 or 3 strand coil.
And that's different than a dual coil.
Might be able to get close with lots of experimentation with different gauges and wrapping methods, but not as easy as having higher voltages to work with.

At first I thought I wanted a regulated device...then I got the TMod in my grubby hands! The dual batteries sounds like a cool option, but think I'd rather just get a 26650.

Ok I have to say this I got a sx350 squonker. Was running it around 40 watts or so. And it's nice. Don't get me wrong. But I continuously reach for my mech/ reo. I don't have the TMod. Yet. I enjoy the Nickle
Builds. But it's too hot where I live to take them out of the house and know they will work

man im so bummed,i wanted to sell a few of the "other" squonker mods I have to get another T-mod and now my stupid truck after 800$ fuelpump it needs a 200$ tuneup.was runnin meh so so then when I came out from getting some xrays it was pouring down rain and when it took off it was runnin WAY worse.im sure if I pop the hood at night itll look like the northern lites under there!!this so sucks!1st world probs...lol and Christians are getting their heads cut off....my troubles are nothing!.puts my life into perspective for sure!!everythings good here.thanks again Tom this thing is rockin for sure!!SWEET VAPE!!
