Tom, are the 26650 squonkers as light as that dual you made recently? Same size? I'm thinking about what I should get next and want to know if I should have a 26650 be in consideration. Brass or bronze in that size seems it may be quite heavy, no? Have you compared it's weight to the 18650?
So it took like 3 minutes to find the orphan brass girl a home, I had a feeling it wasn't going to be a problem, haha. Big score for ew!

The dual mod is heavier loaded bc the batteries weigh more than the juice bottle. Both empty I'm not sure tbhx the cap is a tiny thicker on the dual cell mod . The 26650s in general actually seem lighter bc they are thinner. The 18650s are thicker than they have to be to fend off that dreaded atty overhang..[emoji39]
As for the brass/bronze/copper 26650s, copper isn't readily available in a piece big enough to do a 26650, the other two are available, albeit pricy..... they are a little heavier in the bigger mods but sticking to a tray or girl shape keeps them fairly tame, especially when compared to other 26650 mods. Even tube mods are heavier really.
Yeah I do them in batches by similar size and material. It just so happened that the brass girl is the only one of all versions I don't have the people in line for. Hey tom. I'm having a serious problem, buddy. I'm having to put over 50 pounds of pressure on my button to close the circuit. Even then, it's hit or miss whether it'll fire or not. Been trying to fix this issue since I got the thing but no matter what I do, the stiff button issue just keeps getting worse. Today, I nearly lifted myself up by my thumbs on the button... no bueno... nothing.
I'm using HE2s, 25Rs, vtc4's and vtc5's... same problem with all of them.
Originally, I thought it was just the vtc4's I bought for it, turned them over and success rate increased, but never better than 50%.
At one point I realized the pos contact was hitting the sheathing on the battery. Dremeled a hair off the end and had a slight improvement, but nothing worth noting. Adjusted the 510 so many times the pin is worn and stripped.
I need help, buddy. I love this thing, but it's killing me. I can only squeeze 50 lbs of pressure out of my thumbs so many times in a day.

If you look down the battery hole, without a battery installed, is there a black dot in the center of the bottom?

Clean with brake cleaner, or sandpaper, until it's uniformly clean. Do the same to the underside of the copper bar, where it hits the battery.
I also recommend hitting All of your batteries with some sandpaper. Clean the junk off of them.
This is the recommended process for cleaning all mods. A lot of us, including myself, never clean them so when it gets hard to make contact it's a shocker, like something is broken. It's not, just needs a little attention.

i cleaned mine today. i use a qtip with isopropyl for the negative nipple. it is tricky getting a 60mm qtip down a 70mm+ crevice, but i have yet to find a better way

Gorgeous! Congrats ElaineI have a brass mod that's for sale, it's available right now. I made it for a customer who said that they wanted a 26650 not an 18650, my bad. Anyways its done I can finish it anyway anyone wants, any button, and squonk holes, it's girl shaped, skip the line if anyone has been thinking about ordering one here it is.
I stopped sticking my finger in the battery hole when it nearly got stuck! Now i soak a bit of kitchen roll in some alcohol and stuff it in there with a pencil, grind it about a bit and call it cleaned.
I use the button-top VTC4's (SX30s from Orbtronics) and they help reduce the throw needed to fire the mod too.
