I really admire your work Tom. The vids I've seen from Russ and the pics on this thread reveal to me that your mods are utterly gorgeous and
so well built. Maybe one day down the road when I save up some money (post-my next big purchase of a 5 string electric bass
) I'll have to hit you up for a 26650 mod. The reptile is stunning...
Tim, these are amazing mechs man and thank you for the props. I don't usually deviate from what works so well for me, so I don't say lightly that these fit right in with my other mods. Just knowing that your mod was hand made just for you (tops don't even interchange) and there is no other exactly like it is the perfect reward for a major milestone.
Also knowing that every part on it can be gotten from Tom or bought and installed or cut to fit (copper contact bus - I'm calling it a bus because it's like around 1mm thick) although I don't see where it would ever need replacing. The insulator and the 510 pin would be the only parts I see that you prolly couldn't buy off the shelf somewhere but unless you wrench your atty (I unfortunately did that when I first got my yellow) it's not gonna fail ya.
You and I also shared the concern about freak incident (hot spring) protection which the need is EXTREMELY UNLIKELY - well you can rest assured - Tom enlightened me that if your mod suddenly got hot you just unscrew the atty and your good - contact no longer being made.
I dig all my metal mech squonkers - the two kinds I run but to own a couple of TMODS, well that just says I LOVE metal mech squonkers and I want a couple (or more) that separate me a little from the herd, the kind that are on an even higher level of infallibility. A mod you could take to prison and put in a sock and beat someone half to death with (or all the way) and pull it outta the sock and vape it.
Nothing sliding, no parts to fall out, no magnets holding the bottom and top together like the wood mods of similar shape, very simple contact / hose / bottle / 510 adjustment and pinch (or ambidextrous) squonk put these mods on as highly discerning vapers short list.
And while I thank you for the props on my vids, I can assure you that they do these mods little justice. The in hand, vape it like you stole it is the only way you can appreciate what a TMOD is all about.
