Yeah here ya go guys update on the sx mods. Lot has been happening latley. I got one of them, the original back from the cnc guy who did the faceplates. On the original mod , the prototype, he had gone around the edges where the faceplate seats down into the back of the mod with his cnc mill, it looked great, better than I could do on my manual machine. Because it looked fo good I sent all of the mods to him to have him do this same thing on all of them. I got them back last night, they look great. Here's a pic, let me explain a little. The colored mod is just another mod I made a while back, but the groove the faceplate sits in is done by hand by me, I can do it better than this one is done bit not as well as the raw aluminum ones next to it. Those are the actual sx mods. I'm really happy I had that done, it cost me more money and took a little time but it was certainly worth it I think.
I've also added some cool features to the mod. I have added an adjustable contact for the battery. It's adjustable from underneath the cap to accommodate for a wider variance of cells. I'm also adding a plate to the bottom of the cap, made of g10 (good plastic) just to clean things up.
I'm doing the plate today and painting the first mod tomorrow. They are all done up to the point of being painted. The board's are all prewired as much as possible so the process will go much faster than when I build mods one at a time, start to finish.
I appreciate everyone being really cool about the extra time this has taken. I believe I am doing it correctly, I certainly wouldn't want to put a mod out there that sucks. There's nobody that wants to get these finished and shipped more than me, I promise. This mod is fantastic, your gonna like it. Thanks guys, you rock

Yeah, I'm really sorry guys, I hate depending on other people or shops for stuff, that's why I usually try to limit that as best I can. It won't be an issue going forward, I'll be able to do everything myself. I know you guys are excited and anxious, as am, I can't wait to see what you guys think of them. My first regulated mod, I got to play with mine for a while, I love it, I think you guys will as well. I love seeing my mods in the wild, all over the place, all over the world actually. Thanks again for the support, I really do have the best vapefam!

You missed the update on the 22nd then. Where he mentioned a family issue in addition to the extra outside work.
It hasn't even been a week since that update.
anyone here know how to shrink bottles by about a mm? i got black bottles for my mini and they just dont fit. by a hair. they go in most of the way and get stuck at the very top of the bottle where it transitions to the threads. any help would be appreciated
I had sime of those as well, I haven't seen a way to shrink them, if you do lmk.

Boil them up, cant recall if you drop them in cold water after, I know Roscoe did it on his mod so you could ask him but I know they had to be boiled first

I would treat it like a mouth guard for sports....
Boil some water, submerge the bottle up to the shoulder, leaving the threads cool and hard so you have something to grip onto with plyers or forceps, slide it into the mod to mold it, remove and immediate submerge in an ice bath..
It should retain the shape... My Mini should be here in the next few days, if the black bottles I ordered from intaste don't fit, I will be trying it out
Edit: Submerge it just long enough to make the plastic pliable but not collapsing on itself

I been debating on bailing on the sx-j but maybe at this point it'd prolly be safe to just wait til it gets here.elaine has the 7075 up for sale and thought about getting it but man the T-mod part of this j chip will be the best part of the whole mod...IMO anyways.i had an svap and hated the wood from day 1,sold it and the only reason I wanted this j chip was for the tmod part.i wont even be using the TC stuff.tried it and made my asthma act back up so a no go for me.been fine since I went back to kanthal.I drop my squonkers all the time especially when layin down an watchin tv at night....thud...sometimes think its my alarm clock!!ha ha cuz it always wakes me up when it happens.thank goodness for carpet.if I had one of the other wooden squonkers id be heartbroken to find it broken layin on the floor.so tmods and the other rectangle box are all I have anymore...and I like it!
Ok I got the bottles to black bottles to fit. Roscoe01 gave me his trick. Boil the bottle for 5 minutes then cram it in the mod. Put the whole thing in the freezer. I had it in the freezer 20 minutes. Didn't get the job done the first time but I did it again and it fits nice now.
