pretty slick first mod kinda killed the process or using gunk over junk to begin with if i had all the money back that i have wasted over there years buying mod after mod to find tanks, mods, attys that worked for me. I battled for months to begin with that dumn ... ego between that and smokes kept buying different thing untill something finaully gave me what i needed. tmod beets my first ego with base ball bat

Nichrome is the way to go IMO, one of my boys sent me some and it's been my favorite since then!
My dad carries two Dually's and an original single everywhere he goes, he called me every day for a week the first week I gave him one, to tell me how much he liked it, hahaha, made me happy, if my old man quit smoking with my mods, anyone can, and nobody treats mods crappppier than he does so I use him to test all my new stuff, it's great both ways.

wellll i can test any new mods too man!!!lol.b4 my olman died i was able to get him to try a vv 3.0 and he was blown away with how much more "power"...lol it had then the battery stick he had been using.it took for ever to get him to just try that itaste regulated thing.it woulda took a few more yrs to get him onboard with squonking,but ran out O time.your mods are helpin folks all over man!-Rick

Tbev thanks for the hint for Nichrome.... I had some 26 gauge laying around that I never tried...

Made a quick coil and wow! I went and ordered some 24 and 22 gauge....

Might be my new go to

I make all my twisted coils with nichrome even have some nichrome flat wire for making tiger coils great stuff.

it would be a long debate with vary opinions. But one of the main reason i do not us nichrome is becuae is im made with a form of nickel. different then temperature sencing nickel wire im not a scientist and dont know all of the speicfics. But i do know nickel is a human carsinagin or how ever you type it lol. I went on this hole kick of trying to learn the compounds of what we use for wire after people starting freaking out about temp mods. And personaully i stopped using my temp control and any wire with any form of any nickel in it. What is the safest form of metal to heat and breath in who knows not me. But my take on it was ti is bad nickel in all forms is bad and kanthal was the safest to inhale leaving no fumes to go in the body. Not starting a debate nor do i know all the facts was just my take on lots of reading

You should not be getting the wire hot enough for nickel or titanium to be an issue.

Most chipsets won't allow you to run it hot enough in TC mode to be an issue, either.

I know all that my freinds but thank you thow. i have just concluded for me in my life kanthal is what i have considered safe for me. Im o.c.d and quit smoking because of the health concerns. every ingrediate in kanthal we have been using in cooking pans ect for many many years. i do know i can taste a weird taste from using nichrome wire. is it from leaking metal i do not know. i do know that nickel ni200 breaks down and breaks the leads of the wires if heated in normal not temp control mode. So is safe in my mind for me to say that nichrome gets hot enough in kanthal mode to leach what ever kind of nickel is in it which is only my opinion and again i am no scientist. every one is free oviously to do there own research and decide for them self there own opinions on different wires. I should have not even made the first post about it that i didd. because opinions very and is a highly debated subject that i am not trying to do here in this off subject thread.

I've been pretty lazy about coils as of late, I used to always run parallels or twists but I've been happy enough with a simple nichrome build so that's what I've ben doing, I gotta throw a set of nichrome parallels in this thump n see what I'm missing out on . .

I think a hot lead or hot spot is about the only way to get close to hot enough to worry about gases in metals, and your not gonna inhale on that without knowing it, at lease that's my opinion.

So I shared this on instagram, figured it wouldn't be any big deal to you guys that own a tmod.

I left one out in the rain last night and didn't find it till about 4pm, it rained all night and day. Picked it up, hit it, haven't even changed the wicks out.

I used to also routinely fish the first baby, shotgun'd mod I made out of the lake and keep on truckin' so I guess a little rain is more like just a little cleaning..

That was where I was going.

Sort of like those studies about heat generated toxins where they were basically dry hitting the whole time.

You absolutely need to do parallels with nichrome, bro... I squeezed dual parallels into the Derringer that's on my Praxis mod... holy hell in a handbasket! That thing hit hard! I can only imagine what it'd do on a Tmod!

So it's safe to say I won't have any issues with mine bringing it along fishing with me which is were most my free time in the summer is spent. Good to know Tom I have killed more then one mod with fish, bait, water hands or simply were did it go owe its in the lake ..... I killed my first hana dna 40 that way fishing in a canoe stood up with it on my lap heard a splash and end to a hana. I allways have snorkle gear with me so finding is not a issue it working again is lol. another Verafied reason for money well spent
