If you are not going to pick it up, than shipping will be out there.. And if you are not going to go see them in person than keep in mind that very nice and clean doesn't mean they will be so, nor does it mean it's what you may consider nice and clean!!

Name brand matters if you are going to resell.. Men clothing don't resell as well as women's so you should check prices out for those men sizes on ebay to see what they go for online.. Offline, there are not many consignment type stores that carry men clothing, nor do you often see men go into them for that matter..

If they were women or children clothing I would only pay $300 total for the bunch if I saw them in person.. And I wouldn't buy the lot at all if it didn't include mostly name brands, nor if I or someone I know could not fit some of the clothing just incase they are not resellable..

takes more time but, you may be better off checking thrift stores/shops in decent living areas (that don't charge an arm and a leg for clothing).. They always have some nice, name brand clothing for all sizes with the price tags still on them..

I use to sell on ebay and this is my experience and thoughts on the matter ;)

The thrift stores want a small $10 for a suit jacket.. and sometimes you can find expensive stuff in there.. I talked to the guy and he sounds like he has alot of money, so I'm hoping it will be nice stuff. I'll definitely know when I see it... Wouldn't try to ship it, the guy is not far away at all +- 20 mins ...

What do you think about trying to get all of the suits and pants and dropping them quick to a used clothing store for $3-$5 per piece? I know they sell them in there for $20-$40 per piece...

Must be a salvation army thrift store lol.. ours charges more than new prices sometimes, even when there is a retail label saying a lower price!!

If they are good brands and in style, which what he had on looked to be, than you should have no problem ridden of suits and pants for $5+.. I would do a quick call to make sure the clothing store is accepting them first, for some don't always do so when they have too many already..

Hope you get a great deal :)

Well, being in the middle of nowhere helps (when you're buying) and hurts (when you're selling.. but only sometimes) :)

He had alot of "big dog" sweaters and shirts and says they're worth alot
I can't see where I'd keep this stuff without getting it all wrinkled or dusty though

Sigh

I think he'll sell them for almost nothing to me

I don't agree, but what do I know... I've known alot of big guys in my time and they all talk about how much of a ..... it is finding clothes to fit them..

*shrug*

The guy is wealthy and will all but GIVE me this stuff ... I still can't figure on how I'd handle it all :(

I don't know guys .. I might have to pass on it
It was good meeting the guy though, you know, he was straightforward, coherent and made sense. Lucky goon is moving to TEXAS!!! Man I envy that

Oh and he had MY CAR a Cadillac STS

A guy making the money he is and not spending a fortune on vehicles impressed the piss out of me. Was worth going out just to talk to him, so not all is lost..

I'm wondering if he will let me have them to sell on consignment if I can figure out where to store/sell them?? We'll see ... there's no risk that way!!
