Cloudy mix

So far I have found the tank crackers the usual culprits of a cloudy mix IE apples, Cinnamon, Banana, and so forth. It may be a specific flavor in the mix but I have found a few that make the mix cloudy, I am sure there was a thread about this this before but I would like to add as a search did give me much info, if you have had this happen please note the concentrate It would be nice to have a running list. or if it clears after a day or two. I have a few apples I am working on and it seems to be apple candy or FA sour that cloud. does it go away?

Triacetin in concentrates can apparently make e liquids cloudy. TFA's Grape Candy is listed as having triacetin, and I've seen comments about cloudiness with this flavor.

I'll throw in for your list Atmos Lab's Kaimaki (traditional Greek mastic ice cream flavor), even though not many people in the US will be familiar with / have access to this brand. I wrote to them about the cloudiness, which worried me, and they said "yes, normal for this flavor."

This is just anecdotal evidence but I will tell you what was causing an occasional cloudy e-liquid for me. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was causing some of mine to get cloudy. I never knew when it was going to happen. It happened with several different mixes but not every time I made that particular mix. I didn't hurt the taste of the mix but it shouldn't be doing this. If it sat for a very long time (several days) it would get almost clear but would cloud right back up when I shook it.

It seems it was the way I was adding the ingredients. If I just added the flavorings, then the nic, then the non nic base (mostly VG) and then capped and shook I would end up with a cloudy mix. Now, I add the flavorings, cap and shake gently (not necessary if using a single flavor). I then add the nic base, cap and shake well. Then I add my non nic base (mostly VG), cap and mix. I haven't had a single bottle of cloudy e-liquid since changing up how I add the ingredients. As always, YMMV

Yep, like @mattiem posted...the order of ingredients makes a definite difference.

Bill's Magic Vapor has a section in his blog about Cloudy Mixes and what can cause them and how to avoid them. Just do a search for his blog and you'll find it. I'm on a different laptop than my usual, and don't have it saved on this one, or I'd link you to it.

I did try it the way mattiem suggested, I usually do it that way with all my mixes, but this specific recipe still clouds up. still taste fine though.

TFA Apple Candy, Sweet tart,Flavorah Greenapple,and wild melon,FA Orange and Sour wizard.

I usually look up ingredients for flavorings on WL website, so I went there to check yours. They carry all of them except the 2 Flavorah flavorings. But, all the others in your recipe show as being water soluable, with no mention of "may cause clouding", as some will say if known to do that.

So, maybe it's either 1 or both of the Flavorah ones? Have you tried adding them as the last 2 ingredients in your mix? Or, adding all the other flavorings, then nic base, then PG, then those 2 flavorings, and finally the VG?
