Clouper DNA 30 Check atomizer warning, but no short in the atty

Hey everyone, hoping I can get a little help on this one. I've been very happy vaping on my Clouper DNA30 for about 3 or 4 weeks now. I haven't really had any issues with it up until tonight. I was taking pulls off of it on and off all evening, and all during the day with no issues, but shortly after I got home tonight I got a check atty error message on the same atty that I had just been using. So I tried a few more attys in there and all the same thing. Check atty. I just tried a few of the higher resistance attys on my vamo and they fired right up. So something is definitely wrong with my clouper and I have no idea what. The 510 connection seems alright, it doesn't appear to be recessed, and i took the red panel off under neath the battery cover and everything appears to be in place with copious amounts of glue.

Anyone have any suggestions, a quick search around google didn't seem to help much. I was hoping to get a few more months out of this thing before i made the switch to mech mods.

My fasttec clone got sent back for that exact reason. Couple weeks and check atty chip is bad is my guess.they did pay for shipping at least

Try checking the grounding screw since you got the plastic cover off over the wires

You can test your 510 connector by doing the following:
with No atty attached it should display Check Atomizer when the Fire button is pressed
Use a screw driver or other conductive metal object to touch the center pin and shell of the 510 connector.
The display should show Shorted when the Fire button is pressed

Alright I'll try that as soon as I get it back. I took it back to the b+m that I bought it at and left it for their mech guy to check out. Hopefully he can figure it out...going back to my vamo just sucks. I ended up picking up a hcigar nemi clone to try. It looks nice but with all my coils set up above 1.2 ohms the hit is kinda weak. And I still have to pick up a multimeter to check the battery's.

Sounds like the pin might be messed up.

For future reference try building your coils at a resistance that makes sense for your box mod and a mech. For a 30w I find circa .7 to be a happy medium.

From my reading the pin crapping out seems to be a recurring issue on a handful of the DNA 30 mods. Very frustrating because I was just really getting into it. I picked up a mech mod yesterday and to be honest the dam thing scares the hell out of me. I like it but every pull makes me nervous. Trying to be safe as hell with it but not knowing the charge on my sonys is nerve wracking let alone the worrying about the Atty developing a short through out the day. I definitely want another VW box mod just don't know which one yet.
