I'm posting this here because I'm still relegated to the kid's table, but here goes.

I'm experiencing the bug with the fire button on my Cloupor "DNA30 Modz" clone, as other users have reported in the other big threads.

I purchased the device from WetVapes, and sent them the following email.

Hello,There appears to be a defect with my Cloupor DNA30 clone device.

The fire button does not work consistently. When this happens, I have to press the fire button a second time to get it to fire, and when I do the wattage setting almost always decreases by .1 watts.

For example, I have the device set to 20W. I press fire, nothing happens. I let go of fire button, and the device changes to 19.9W (I do not press up/down buttons, only fire button). If I press fire again, the device fires, but it is at the unintended power setting. I then adjust the wattage setting back to 20W, and it fires correctly, until the problem reoccurs seemingly at random.

Sometimes this happens while the screen is off, sometimes this happens when the screen is still on, sometimes the wattage setting changes, sometimes it doesn't. It does not appear to have anything to do with how long the device has been idle. It is an intermittent malfunction and is hard to reproduce, but it has happened approximately fifteen times in two days.

I suspect bad soldering or bad buttons, but it could also be an issue with the chip. This problem is happening for other users as well, and it is worse for some than others.

Are you ordering these directly from Cloupor, or another vendor? I realize that this device is brand new and there are bound to be some issues that were not detected in the factory.

I would like to verify with the manufacturer if this issue is going to be resolved by a firmware update, or if I will need to arrange for a warranty replacement. I understand there is a 90 day manufacturer's warranty on these devices.

I have cc'd this email to Cloupor in case they can assist.

I received my Cloupor DNA30 Mod from Illvapes today and it is also having fire button issues. I have not had the wattage setting decrease by 0.1 on this one yet, nor have I seen the screen turn on by itself. However for example in one instance I pressed and held the fire button with the screen off and nothing happened, upon releasing the fire button the screen turned on. Pressed the fire button again and it did nothing (0.0V displayed on screen), released the button, pressed again and it fired. Sent Cloupor another email. Seems like the chip might be OK on this one but the fire button is funky. Crossing my fingers hoping that it just needs some breaking in, how's that for wishful thinking? I have a preorder waiting with elev8 (I made a round 2 preorder with them due to the lawsuit drama and uncertainty with Illvapes before WetVapes popped up with units in stock), third time's the charm?

Oh and FWIW, Illvapes failed to make good on their old promise to include a free gift.:censored:
