The D2 does not have stepdown in power mode. At least that's what I have read somewhere.
I've also read that. Seems a bit strange running kanthal in TC.

My veteran (already) Cloupor mini is still going strong, despite the unspeakable abuses that my cat an my wife have brought upon it. Minus the ”clicky” fire button and a few scratches, it's as good as new. But I grew tired of it and have bought a Nova SXK 60 - a bit taller, larger, yet lighter. Also more battery-friendly than Cloupor.
My CP Mini plus is enroute, already stateside! My original is still kicking but won't fire attys below .5 ohm REALLY looking forward to my new vape addition
