    Hi and Welcome AugustKK

Don't take this wrong but how much do you know about Ohm's Law?

vaping that .3 ohm is going to chew up your battery and if your batteries do not have sufficient Maximum Continuous Discharge Rate to support the drain, you are asking for trouble or injury.

Do you know what the Maximum Continuous Discharge Rate is on your batteries without googling right now?

You should always use an IMR high drain battery with sufficient Maximum Continuous Discharge Rate to support your coil Ohms at the battery voltage spec.

Try plugging a few numbers into this and see what you get. But never trust the pre-set battery figures in any calculator as battery specs can change.

Some of these must have less battery drain than others. I run a 0.3 ohm dual 22g kanthan 7 wraps each on a TOBH that chucks it nice at 25w. But I only get 80-90 puffs. That lasts me about one day though.

Are you referring to my post?

    I use a VTC4 and a purple efest 35a.
The Sony has a 30a continuous discharge and the efest has a 20a continuous limit. I'm running a 0.3 ohm coil at 25w, which was stated above as well as the battery I've been using so you have the info to calculate if I'm over my discharge rate...
0.3 ohm at 25 w, pushes 2.74 volts, and draws 9.13 amps. So I am we'll within the parameters of my battery.

Just because you see sub ohm doesn't mean I'm running a set up that requires a car battery. Lol

Thanks numba20. You never know what folks will try and I was asking the OP, actually because I was detecting a lack of understanding of the relationship of coil ohms to battery voltage. So unless you are the OP (August KK), I was not asking you.

Trust me, we just had a post asking if the person could use a laptop battery in their mech mod.

    Ya know...teach a man to fish,,,etc.etc.

My bad, I looked through the last 3 pages, and couldn't see anyone else mentioning a 0.3 ohm coil. That's why I was confused.

I would've told him his car battery would work much better! Haha

    All good! :)

My thing is, know Ohm's Law if you are building coils...looks like you do.... but not so sure OP does if he is asking why running his .3 coil is draining his battery...o_O
