7.8v ! Really? That isn't even battery level voltage with two fully charged 18650 batteries in series.

Tell me about it... I was REALLY excited about the T8 with it's 14v... but as soon as they changed that it was a game changer for me.... What's worse is they changed it AFTER all the pre-orders were in... pretty much at the last minute before shipping.. Kinda sucks for the pre-order folks...

I just read an explanation on their facebook page as to why they did it. here it is

" Cloupor Reducing the voltages is to fit the small resistance atomizer, and we use 'Reduce Voltages, Increase Current' design idea to improve T8's performance, which is safer than previous design. Thanks."

How are they boosting current without voltage?

Current and voltage are independent unless you tie them together with resistance. Essentially they supposedly increased the current capabilities and lowered the voltage, which means they "support" lower resistance builds.

Which is what pretty much every other high wattage mod out there does. And it's the exact thing that drew me to the t8 in the first place, because I knew I've be able to run high resistance large surface area builds... but not any more, not at a measly 7.6v. You'd have to run no higher a .38 ohm build to get 150 watts out of it. I might as well just grab a mech. Lmao

Even my t5 can push 9.3 volts! So can the t6 for that matter!

Safer ?? Whats safety have to do with anything lol .

My old Contracting boss use to send me up on roofs that were compromised because i suppose he considered me expendable , i use to say but boss , it's not safe and he would say whats safety have to do with anything lol, no joke.

Wow ,sounds like something P4U would do. Advertised one thing for pre-orders and then changed it right before shipping. Happened to me with the IPV3.

I just know I'm a little bummed. I was kinda looking forward to going down to hang out a the local vape shop and show off my new 26650 100 watt mod and now I just got a new 26650 40 watt mod that will only do 40 watts a couple times before the damn board overheats and shuts down. What a shame!

Sounds like I dodged another disappointment .

I had sold something a week and a half ago and told my buddy I was gonna buy the T6 even though the reviews weren't out yet. I went to buy it and saw the screen on my cana30 come on and was like you know what I hate first run bugs. Bought the Sig 100 and am so glad I did. The thing is a monster, batt life is redonkulous, and I just overall love it. The T6 can kiss my grits.

You know I have a Sigelei 100 coming in as soon as I see the mailman today. Even though I'll probably never go past 80 watts daily, I have a craving for a 100w and the T6 left me wanting it. I still want to hold on to the T6, and would most likely take over as my daily mod. It just left me unsatisfied as a consumer.

I like the form factor and battery life should be good. I only vape kayfuns 1.2 ohms at 15 watts. I think for my needs it would be a good mod

As a 100W device, this thing isn't just bad; it's an absolute failure. There is no way a device only capable of 40(ish)W should be labeled as a 100W device.

If I view it as a 40W device, on the other hand, I am rather enamored with my T6. It should be noted that I do not seem to have the temperature problems that others have reported and I do 95% of my vaping at 40W or lower anyway.
