There seems to be a large disparity regarding temperature in these units. Mine sleeps in the low 20s and idles in the low 30s. I still haven't had mine reach 40 degrees and I have been using it every day for a week.

mine easily reaches 40c vaping 1.8 ohms at a 20 watt setting.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I just got this from someone who did tests on the T6:

I put an small digital voltagemeter on it but seems very irregular for a regulated device

dual coil 0.6 ohm
internal meter set @57w @5.9v - external meter shows 4.7v @36w
internal meter set @100w @7.7v - external meter shows 5.1v @43w

single coil 1.09 ohms
internal meter set @57w @7.9v - external meter 6.3v = @36w
internal meter set @100w @9.3v - external meter 7.0v = @79w

single coil 2.00 ohms
internal meter set @57w @9.3v - external meter 8.3v = @34w
internal meter set @100w @9.3v - external meter 8.3v = @34w

Conclusion, coil this device at 1.09 ohms :/

One thing to bear in mind here... and honestly I have no idea if this is what's going on here or if it really is just that bad... BUT... Remember that your inline volt meter may not be an accurate test. If they are using PWM for the output then you are not going to get an accurate reading. The only way to measure would be either using a meter that has an RMS setting (or lacking that AC mode may give a close reading). Otherwise throwing it on a scope is the only way to be absolutely sure.

Ok guys. I did throw my T5 on the scope this morning. I'm afraid I don't have good news. It's not PWM.

I'll attach pics of the screen.

I ran it at 12 watts, 30 watts, 40 watts, and 50 watts. I didn't bother to run it higher cause the topper I have in there is a dual coil at 1.56 ohm, so it can't push any more that 50 watts cause it maxes out the voltage at that resistance.

The scope shows it to be pretty much dead on. 4.8v, 7.2v, 8.8v, and 9.6v which is pushing 12.13w, 27.28w, 40.76w, and 48.5 watts respectively.

So the t5 looks to be pretty dead on, and with it not being PWM, I can't imagine the t6 or t8 are. So I'm not sure what's going on
