This just arrived about three hrs ago. Gave it a quick rinse and blow dried it. The preinstalled coil on ss wick read at 2.3 ohm, so i used about 2 ml of one of my favorite juices, primed the wick at the top a little, and gave it a try. Great taste, at first, but very quickly went dry and nasty. Third consecutive pull one of the worst i've ever had. Very slow to wick. No idea what size mesh was used.
Almost no experience with genesis style. Have managed a couple decent coils on ss (after much screaming, hopping around, and hair pulling.) It was probablly just luck, do fine with silica wick.
Is it because my juice is 65% vg? Do i need to thin it out? Should i just try yo rebuild? Very thankful for any advice.

There are numerous videos on how to build wicks and coils on youtube. tasteyourjuice.com toddsreviews and igetcha69 are the ones I learned with. It takes time and patience but if I can do it... anyone can :)

Zen's video probably helped me the most as far as wrapping a coil and getting it working

My biggest tip... make sure that all parts of your coil are touching the wick... if any part isn't touching, it will glow and give a nasty taste. I can always tell if my coil has a loose spot. when you attach the top wire to the positive post, try to get even tension... not too tight and not too loose.
