so i built the 6th wick on my cobra, just a regular straight #500 mesh wick. 5/6 wrap with i think a 32 or 30 awg kanthal, provari reads it 2.0-2.1 ohm. got rid of all the hot spots (i think, since all the coil heats up evenly). but when i tried to vape it, it has extremely low amount of vapor, barely any taste, tiny bit of metallic taste/smell. I'm burning at around 3.9-4.0 volt. some help would be very much appreciated.

Don't be disheartened by my experience ... my Cobra sat beside my Provari for a week until I got a good mechanical device where i could use 28g A1 Kanthal... 3/4 wraps = .9 Ohms at that same voltage, its all I can handle (vapor)...
take heart, Almighty God has a youtube of a Cobra build with his Provari.... 32g wire.
I sold my Provari and got a Poldiac... unbelievable vape.
Tilting the device keeps the juice up at the wick/coil area...

yeah the metallic taste is from hot spots like Trick said, but you also get a metallic taste when breaking in wicks in general. You might need to give it more time to break in. If your coils are burning uniformly it sounds like a great wick. 2ohms at 4v should work well. If its tasting metallic and your not getting enough vapor it could always be a wicking issue. Consider checking into if your wick is rolled too tightly, if there is not enough space between wick and wick hole sides for juice to slip through to saturate the top half of your wick? Consider making the inner tube of your wick a wider circumference? I know the cobra has a tighter draw than other genesis tanks... It could very well be an air flow issue too. Go through these like a check list and trouble shoot man?
