Not enough juice getting to the wick. Try turning the silicone grommet inside the tank upside down. Its also possible you used too much cotton. It will swell when liquid is added, too much and it will choke off wicking. If the first doesn't work try wicking with a tad less cotton.

Not sure why it would burn unless the MVP fires a little lower than it says its firing.

Thanks for the reply. I suspect I reached the limits of the MVP2 as well as the Protank.
A tad less cotton is an option, as all my chimney caps are upside down.
Only getting the burn if I take a vape longer than 2 seconds so what you said makes sense.
Guess I'm just cursed with wanting to know each devices limits before moving to the next.

Found this in another thread related to my question but not much else.

The clearos will work on a mech, but not as low ohm as other drippers, kayfun, ect...they won't deliver enough juice fast enough, so 1.5-2.0Ω usually work better.....:)

So if I built a 2 ohm coil why not just put it on the MVP2.
Cause as AFAIK using 1.5 to 2.0 ohm on a mech mod is not the next level.
I want to get to the next level, so I'm getting a more appropriate atomizer.
Are we in the coil building section. LOL

But seriously if anyone has more pointers on stretching the limits of the Protank, learning is fun. :)

You can really only do so much with the protank though. Its an every day tank, not really meant to even be rebuildable. Tanks in general have limitations. Even the kayfun

Good luck to you
