Currently, I'm using an istick 20w with a kangertech protank 3. I was contemplating purchasing a nautilus mini but from what I've read, the eleaf lemo drop is a much better choice. The problem is, I know nothing about building coils. I know that the istick 20w will not handle sub ohm.

If I purchase the eleaf lemo drop, where can I get the wire, cotton, etc?

What wire do I purchase in order to achieve a suitable ohm for the istick 20w?

How will I know how many times to wrap the coil? How do the different variables involved in building a coil produce a certain ohm level?

Any info would be much appreciated as I'm very sick of this protank 3 and want to get something different!!

The Lemo will come with a few feet of wire, cotton, and even a pre-built, pre-wicked, pre-installed coil.

Since you're new to RBAs (like I was when I got my Lemo), I recommend trying the pre-built coil to see how it vapes (I changed out the cotton to Japanese cotton). It happens to be a spaced style coil, where the wraps don't touch.

While I like the fact that the Lemo comes pre-built, I trashed mine. First you really don;t know much about the cotton that comes in it. Second I thoroughly clean all of my RTA's before using. And I tried a test fire and the stock coil seemed to take quite a while to heat up. Nice looking coil for an included though.

As far as kanthal and cotton.

Lightning Vapes ebay store is the best deal I have found for kanthal. 28g is perfect for a Lemo.

Cotton I ordered a bag of Puff Japanese cotton pads from amazon. Cotton Labo ORGANIC Cotton Puff Size M

Or you grab a bag of organic cotton balls from your local Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc.

I second this post.

My go to flavor coil is 7 wraps of 28g kanthal on a 3/32" (2.4mm) drill bit. I like rayon for wicks. Cellucotton rayon is available for $11.49 for 500feet at Sally's Beauty Supply.
