Hi everyone,

Hoping this belongs here. Was between here and hardware, but anyway:

If you see the attached picture, you'll see the a Uwell Crown nickel coil that has been on top of my Opus 200 and IPV4. Usually at 51 watts or 50 joules and maximum 430 degrees this time around. The resistance is locked when the coil and device are at room temperature with the IPV4. Everything is tight, checked all the basics but the coil ends up looking like this after a few ml's of liquid. And I've tried it on both devices individually, same thing happens with a new coil. I really have no idea why that happens. The flavor and vapor production have decreased slightly.

I previously had a smok TCT and coils would go weeks and I wouldn't notice anything like this because the smok TCT coils have a spit back cover over the cotton so you can't see if it is burned or not although I have a feeling the same thing was not happening.

Anyone have any idea why this might be happening? I do tend to take very lengthy draws back to back, repeatedly, but at the temperature I have set this probably shouldn't be happening.

Thanks!

I jumped to the juice right away as well, it is from ITC Vapes. It is a 70VG/30PG, but they state their liquid is a bit thicker for some reason if you were to compare it to other liquids with similar VG/PG ratios. It also was in the Smok TCT coils that didn't seem to burn. This has been happening with all the nickel coils. Could it be a small leak that really isn't adding up to anything due to the top fill?
