Coil for tc

Hello, for very good tc working coil must be spaced or doesnt matter?
Material is SS 316

Hello and welcome! It doesn't really matter, but spaced will lessen dry burning time and squeezing out hot spots. I use spaced myself. Though some people do notice a difference between contact and spaced coils, I personally don't.

Hi @Achrine, welcome to ECF. I like spaced over contact for TC myself. Although, I think either will work just fine. YRMV...

^^^ same here, spaced 24ga 4 wrap 316SS is just about the TC coil I use anymore these days.

I use contact and the only difference is spending a minute or two getting rid of any hot spots. Otherwise as @dobroeutro already pointed out, they both work fine.

I've used contact and spaced SS316 coils for TC and both worked and performed the same for me.

I use both, depends on what atty I use, often use spaced in my velocity RDA, Limitless RDTA and contact in Deringer RDA, kayfun v5, Digiflavor Siren.
