Coil getting nasty

Why am I getting this nastiness after only like a day and a half? Am I heating to hot? Coil is like 1.4-1.5ohm and I'm hitting it at like 7 - 8 watts and I'm getting this but stuff on my coil and it starts to taste nasty... any ideas?

Its probably the juice you using. I find some of my juice is very hard on coils.

Could very well by the juice you're vaping. Do you use a high vg content?

Day, Day and a half................but how many ML?

Darker, Sweeter Mixes Caramelize faster than Clear/light mixes. You see the results.

Simple enough to Dry burn and re-wick.

I'm using primer fluid in a 70-30 blend and it's like a tank and a half on my KFL+ clone

Another vote for probably the juice. If you start with a clean coil and a different juice does the coil last longer?

Some juices gunk up faster than others. I've got one (that I barely use because of this issue) that totally crusts a coil in maybe about half a tank.

Doesn't matter what juice I use and all my coils look like that with a couple tank fulls. Looks normal to me.

I get 2-3 days out of a wick in my 91% with cotton or a week or so with ecowool

A lot depends on the juice, as others have said. Some of it depends on your topper. I get about a day and a half out of my rebuildable tank atomizers, but 3-4 days out of my drippers. I suspect it's because the coil has better *direct* airflow in (most) drippers compared to (most) tanks.

Dry burn it with a few quick pulses and wash it off with some water.

My coils don't gunk up like they do with cotton when I use rayon. Maybe try rayon and see if that makes a difference.

I second that^^ I was changing cotton on my dripper everyday or every other day. With Rayon, I can go almost a week without changing wicks, and not noticing much of a drop off in performance.

If you dont want to buy 500 ft of it, if you go to the rayon thread people are PIF

Might try a little less wick. Could be choking some and causing faster darkening.
With only a side shot, hard to say.

Anyway, I have one liquid that I get about 3 tank fills and must re-wick. Another I have used 10+ fills and only cleaned because it was in rotation for service.

^^ Good point on the usage not time in use! Just to add to the Rayon sugestion I go through 40 and 60 mL before a rewick on my dripper. Idk what that would translate to on a KayFun as I do not have one! Best of luck!
