Coil in the juice?

the coil wouldn't get hot enough to vaporize the liquid very well with the cooling power all that juice creates. A soaked wick is just the right juice saturation, not too much. You can see this with RDAs -- too little saturation = burnt juice, and you can see the coil go red. Too much, you just see a little bubbling and not hot enough. Perhaps with some different coil material your idea could work

You basically need airflow close to if not over the coil to collect the vapor and cool the coils down. If you were to boil a whole tank of fluid you would end up with a hot splattered mess and almost no vapor. But the closest functional thing to this idea is a cartomizer.
