Hi. I've been getting into RBA's, had some luck with the Octopus but Gennies looked appealing because you don't have to drip. I have a RSST that I'm rebuilding and here's me problem: I do a 3/4 wrap of 32g Kanthal around SS Mesh getting an ohm rating of 2.0. Great. I'm at the "pulse" stage, so I do this a few times. Suddenly I get a "Lo" reading on my Zmax, and when I check the ohm's, it says it's at 1.1. I've been trying to find what accounts for changes in rating, things like coils re-positioning, but I'm at a loss for what is making this happen. I've rebuilt coils before and I know a 3/4 wrap around something as thick as the SS Mesh shouldn't be reading 1.1. I'm worried I've somehow ruined my mod. It will do the same thing with different batteries.

After a few episodes of funky resistance fluctuations and misfires on my RSST, I've gotten into the habit of doing an almost 360 degree wrap on the positive connection, as tight as I can get it around the center post. The only thing keeping the center post from turning is the friction of the top and bottom insulators, and tension from the spring. Just the act of screwing it onto a device would sometimes rotate the center pin enough to pop the wire out from under the washer.
