Coil Lifespan Bottom Coil vs Top Coil?

Looking for opinions from people with experience with Kanger Bottom Coil and Vivi Nova Top Coil specifically, as to which coils generally have the longer lifespan (all other things being equal, ie ohms, voltage, liquid etc)?
I would be my ‘guess’ that the bottom coil devices should have the longer lifespan due to the fact that the coil/wick on the bottom coil devices should never run dry.
Can anyone confirm this from actual experience?
Thanks

Depends on the juice. That said; I get about a week out of my protanks before I rebuild. I could use them longer but by the end of the first week I can taste a difference so since they are so easy to rebuild I just do it.

My kanger T3's last several weeks or more depending on juice.

I usually sit down once a month and pull out my bag that has all the coils that need to be rebuilt. I sit there for twenty minutes and then put all the fresh builds in another bag. Then when I need one I just grab it.

No experience with the Vivi Novas either. However, I have used CE4 type top coil clearomizers and Kanger EVOD's, MT3 and MT3S. I've used both thick (VG+) and thin (PG+) and both high nicotine and low nicotine juices in both styles.

I have gone through three disposable "Sunburst(?)" clearos. The dry hits were much more frequent with the top coil clearo. Plus, the constant tip and twirl technique to keep the wicks saturated proved to be annoying. They require no more cleaning than the bottom designs do.

I am now switching totally to bottom coil clear tanks. The EVOD and the MT3S all but eliminate the leaking problem that plagued the earlier MT3 version. The vapor production is awesome and the price of the replacement coils makes rebuilding the atomizer an economically pointless exercise. Clean the head/coil assembly as often as needed, replace the coil as needed with $2.00 units, refill, and let soak.

I still have one top coil clearo left. It's still performing well, but it absolutely has to be soaked and rinsed after every 1.6ml tank.

For inexpensive eGo style devices and very good performance, it's really hard to beat the EVOD and MT3S.

Are you actually rebuilding the T3 coils, or replacing the head/coil assembly? The older style T3 (and MT3) had heads with coils that could not be detached. You replace the whole head/coil [edit: or rebuild the atomizer]. However, Mt Baker now sells an "upgrade" T3 head that duplicates the MT3S. Replace the old head with the new one. Screw in an EVOD or MT3S coil and your T3 is now a T3S.

Thanks for the replies ... I think it sounds like you guys are getting longer life on the bottom coils as I suspected. I have been primarily using Vivi Novas and I find after a day or two 'max' they need to be cleaned and after one or two cleanings then need to be rebuilt. The juice I use is fairly light (Bobba's Bounty, Halo Tribecca, GoodeJuice's Vita Bella) on 1.8 - 2.4Ohm stock coils and rarely over 4.2 volts ... I feel I should be getting longer life out of these coils. I really like the Vivi Nova's but I am going to run the Kanger BCC's for a while and see if I get longer life out of the bottom coils.
