Hello All,

This is probably a dumb question, but I have the tesla stealth mod and am using nautilus .07ohm bvc coils in an original nautilus tank. What mode should I set the mod to? (SS, Normal, Ni, or Ti) I am pretty sure it is just "Normal" but wanted to verify. Can I use more than one mode?

Thanks!

Normal. The others are for temperature control, and they refer to the type of metal used for the coil - SS - stainless steel 316; Ni - Nickel; Ti - Titanium.

I think the bvc coils are kanthal, so they can't be used in the other modes. Note that if you ever do try temp. control (TC), Ni and Ti coils should never be used in wattage (normal) mode. SS coils can be used in wattage or TC modes.

Yes, you want "normal" that is wattage mode. All the Nautilus coils are kanthal, and you have to use them in wattage mode. If you want a drop in coil that is MTL, and over 1.0 resistance, they can be tough to find. I think there are some out there, but not very many, a lot of drop in coils are really difficult to find in materials that can use TC. You best bet, if you want to try TC as a MTL vaper is probably to look at an RTA, you'd be able to build your own coils out of whatever material you choose, and if it were me, I'd choose stainless steel wire, since it can be used in either mode.

If the idea is overwhelming at the moment and you prefer using drop in coils, well,; that's where most vapers start and many of them remain. It's still much safer than smoking cigarettes. Although, an RTA is always a good goal to shoot for in my opinion (when and if you ever feel ready) as it's a sustainable form of vaping that doesn't require drop in coils, if nothing else. Even if you use kanthal wire and keep using wattage mode, it can be nice to be "independent" from premade coils and many folks prefer the vape (I like either, but for different reasons and in different situations.

Best of luck.
