I started vaping about 2 months ago and bought a Twisp clearomizer. I already have an EGO CE4 battery, but the coils on my Twisp only last between 7 to 10 days. Could it be the battery giving too much power and burning out my coils? They work really well while they last, but just die on me without warning. Am I doing something wrong, or is the dealer selling me shady coils? Should I rather buy a Twisp battery as well and only use the Twisp clearomizer with the Twisp battery? A little help please?

I'm not familiar with the Twisp but I used the same coils in my Kanger T3Ss for months (still have all but 2 of the originals working). Generally the darker the ejuice the more you get coil build up. When you get coil build up the resistance increases and the coil can't transfer heat. The heat build up is what burns up most coils.

Most times people will have an issue with loss of flavor and vapor first. Depending on the coil/atty you can get a spare then swap them every few days, rinsing, then soaking the dirty one in cheap vodka overnight. After that rinse again, dry as much as possible by wicking the water off into a paper towel then dry burning (pulsing the power with just the coilbase and no ejuice).

Worked like a champ for my old coils. New attys like the Nautilus may not work as well since the coil is surrounded by wicking material.

Outside of that it sounds like the coils are just crap, they should not be popping after just a week. Maybe time for a better atty?

Your post mentions a CE4. The CE4 is disposable, yeah you can rinse them out but that's about as far as it goes.
A atomizer head contains a coil of resistance wire that heats a saturated wick and causes the juice to vaporize. Tada, you are vaping. Repeated vapes result in juice being burned on to the coil and wick(s). The more often you take a vape the shorter the time it takes for the coil and wick to no longer wick and heat properly. So the key factor is how much juice have you vaped before the atomizer head provides poor taste and/or vapor. So, that having been said, a atomizer head that last a week for you may only last 3-4 days for me. It's all dependent on how much you vape.
A replaceable atomizer head can be effectively cleaned. There are numerous videos available demonstrating How To. In general, cleaning is very simple. The exact process is determined by the type of tank and atomizer heads you are using. I've been cleaning the ones I have for months now with only a couple that have failed.
Good Luck

I use a kanger aerotank with 1.8ohm coils and usually get 4 days out of them. I have followed the cleaning instructions on youtube and can get about 3 uses out of each coil this way. So if I don't clean them 4 days total per coil, with cleaning 12 days. I vape around 6ml per day.
Are you using the new enclosed dual coils, or the standard dual coils? I've cleaned the old style Kanger coils, but wasn't sure the enclosed coils could be cleaned. I love the new Kanger enclosed coils; I get better flavor and they last much longer. Rarely do they burn out, rather they produce less vapor and flavor after awhile. The darker the eliquid, the harder it is on them. I guess they could benefit from a soak in vodka to see if it will revive them:) I don't pay much for them at my favorite hardware vendor; about 75 cents each.

When i started with a ProTank 2, the first couple of weeks the coil heads just barely lasted a week. Then i got sick of buying them over and over again, so i looked into rebuilding them. It's a bit fiddly, but it was not only a lot cheaper, they also tasted a lot better after using cotton... don't know how long they lasted then, but it didn't matter, als i always had a handful rebuilt already ;-)
