I am finally learning to change the wicks in my coil and my flavor wicks but ineed to know about how lo g and how will I know when my coil has gone bad or how long do the coils last ? I have several pyrex glass tanks and a few kanger mini 3 tanks. I usually clean them once a week and dry burn the coils so how long? Also can someone tell me or give me a easy video on how to make the coils when they finally go bad? Thank you.

Hey Vapbamafaye! Welcome :)

Here are a couple of links I used when first getting started:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coil-builds/432047-my-bad-pictorial-evod-rewicking-cotton-recoiling.html
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/brookj1986/6066-simple-protank-coil-replacement.html

I use 30g - 28, I can't get enough wraps for my MVP to fire, and 32g seems too hot for me. I wrap about 8-9 wraps on 1/16" drill bit (but based on some other comments from some other folks elsewhere, I might add a 5/64" bit (or even a toothpick!!!) That typically lands me about 1.8 +/- 0.1 for my kanger heads.

I have enough heads in rotation, but I generally dryburn and rewick the ones I've used once a week. With so many in rotation, I'm thinking I'm getting at least 4-6 weeks on a coil (and I'm a pretty heavy vaper.) Darker, sweeter juices will gunk up much more quickly. You'll notice tighter draws and less flavor, so that's a good indication that it's time to clean. If you notice your ohms rising, even after a dry-burn, it's probably time to rebuild from scratch. LightningVapes.com has great prices on their kanthal, and I just got a bunch of insulators (I've noticed some nicks in a few of mine from where I try to nip the wire.)

Enjoy your vape :vapor:
