So today I decided to build my first coil. I have a mini-Pro tank so I followed RipTrippers video for building a micro coil https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrvwOf13U-s. It was 12 wraps of 28ga A1 Kanthal. In my iTaste VV v3.0 its reading 1.7ohm (he was getting 1.8), perfect. I then put it in my SVD and its reading 0.7ohm. I removed it and replaced in onto the SVD several times and it always read 0.7ohms.

What's going on here?! I have attached a pic. Hopefully give an idea of what I did

It sounds to me like your coil may have moved a little. Maybe a slight short. I know it looks centered from the top, but what do the leads of the coil look like underneath. Are they making contact with the head wall where they shouldn't be? This is all I can think of since you started getting different readings on different devices, but, now that you switched back to the original device, you say that it is reading the same. If that is so, then something changed in with your coil.

I figured it out, but the different readings on different devices still doesn't make sense. The "chimney" or whatever its called must have barely been touching the coil. Didn't look like it but it must have been. I put a flavor wick on top of the coil which seems to have insulated the coil from the chimney and good readings all around now. Still don't know why I was getting a good reading on the iTaste VV but not on the SVD. Anyways, this baby vapes like a champ now. It has breathed new life into my mini-Pro Tank. Although it looks a bit funny sitting atop the SVD.
