coil rebuild

hi, can anyone explain to me, i am having a go at rebuilding a coil for the first time, i have a kangertech 3. my first question is do i make the coils in the same way as shown on various sites, ie is there a difference in dual core. also what is a flavor wick and where can i get it from.
