I am attempting to rebuild coils for aspire Nautilus BVC. I got the coil build down no problem, 1.8 ohm on my first build attempt ever. I wrapped the coil with organic cotton from a local (trusted) b&m. Filled tank and first hit was great, after that it floods and essentially turns into a straw and sucks the juice up through the drip tip. I left an air hole where I can see straight through the coil as instructed by riptrippers. I had my AFC all the way open. What's going on here? Attempted a KangerTech T3S coil, same thing. I thought building the coil would be the hard part. But I got that down pat. This is all temporary until I get a RTA or RDA. And speaking of an RDA, I'd like to use one on my iStick. I know it's only 20 watts and I can't sub-ohm which is fine. I'll be running a 1.5-1.8 ohm coil. I've seen people build drippers and use them on the MVP. Any suggestions on a good single coil RDA that is easy to build, just make my coil, run some cotton through it, soak it and vape away? Thanks. -Dave

You may not be using enough cotton to properly sustain fluid flow, and instead it's allowing more than what's needed for liquid to flow through in the small gap that the wick isn't covering. I tend to take a nice decent piece of cotton for my mini protank 2 coil heads, and roll it softly, not too much because you don't want the wick too tightly wound together, and after you replace the wick, fluff the ends of each side after cutting while applying juice, I found this method to be the best without using a flavor wick for my 50/50 juice mix, it works amazingly :)
