I had this same problem too. Turns out it was the juice. If you dont wanna buy coils every 2 days, might I suggest getting a kayfun lite + and learn to rebuild. It's very easy and way cheaper than buying those crappy little protank atomizer heads. A roll of wire and a bag of cotton balls will last you forever.

This is my new years resolution! Rebuilding nice attys 8) My local dealer is going to have classes in the near future, so Im pumped for that!

WOWZA! Those links are awesome! But, whats the difference between the 2 diff models and pricing? I noticed one is 1.8ohm and the other is 2.0ohm, but other than that, whats the difference?

That's a single wick and a multi-wick (i.e. three wicks inside the coil). The single wick is what I've seen recommended. After you've installed and trimmed, untwist a trimmed piece and then use some strands as flavor wicks.

I'm actually using the multi-wicks. After mounting and trimming, I use two pieces as flavor wicks -- no need to untwist. This is working flawlessly for me.

Thanks for the tip on the pre built wire and wicks. Does anyone know if they work well in a mini protank 2?

Yes, I use the mini PT 2 as well and see little/no performance differences from original. Wife is jealous of the clouds; I'll probably have to get her the same setup.

You know, I think this is a real problem with current vaping technology. If we don't want to build our own parts, we don't get real satisfaction. It's one thing to swap parts out and clean them; it's quite another to reconstruct parts of the setup.

I wasn't really looking for a new hobby. :(

Yeah, I agree. This technology is pretty new -- and still too "fidgety" and "fragile". Someday it will approach Zippo lighter status. But your answer is to just buy extra heads and replace them as needed (e.g. stop working or decreased flavor). Five packs of heads sell between $5 and $15. And it's an easy change that takes less than thirty seconds.

Do you know of a video that shows how to redo the wicks with the links you provided? And thanks for the info. Ive been vaping for awhile now, but never felt the need to upgrade til recently. Got my SVD today, and I am in LOVE 8)

I juswt got my SVD today. I put the Davide BCC on it and the atty was like 3 days old. Tasted great at 4.2v/6watts with a 2.5atty in. Well, it was time to change the atty in it, so I put a fresh 2.5atty in, and had my previous settings saved. Hit it and NOTHING but burnt taste :( I messed with the VV/VW settings, and no matter what, it tastes like straight ...! Did I burn the coil because I didnt let the wicks soak up enough juice before I used it?

Please help me! A 3 day old atty should NOT taste better than a fresh atty :( What am I doing wrong? Is it just a beat atty from the get go? Or do I have to let the new atty soak up the juices for 10 minutes first? I NEVER had this problem before when I was using a Davide BCC and an Ego battery??? :(

I just got my wire and wick in the mail today and plan to give it a try ( rebuilding ) .A drop or two on a new or freshly cleaned coil/atty helps a lot .

Thast a great idea! I resolved the issue. I put a fresh atty in, and waited about 5 mins before i took a drag, and BAM, tastes great 8)

Ive said this alot since I joined, but i frickin LOVE all of my Davide BCC tanks! I have [2] Chrome and [1] Gold, and [1] Mini Davide BCC. Highly recommend them all. My dealer just got in like 25-30 Nautilus tanks with adjustable airflow, and Im buying one of those tomorrow or Sunday to go along with my new VTR! The Nautilus is like $40, but my dude said its amazing. And it'll be my first BDC tank! Hopefully the attys last a long time and it hits killer, since its a BDC!

Also, Kanger just released an adjustable airflow mod for their tanks. Im sure it would fit my Davide tanks too, but thats not verified! Plus, I like how well my Davide tanks hit so no reason to mod them!

I have a halo triton tank system... how many full tanks (2.4ml capacity) should my coils last? I mainly vape clear or light brown/golden color e-liquids?

Also, the website sells coils but I don't know what coil resistance I should buy, any advice or explanations?
http://www.halocigs.com/replacement-coil.html

finally, how often should I clean the tank and coils? It makes sense to clean it every time I change flavor, but what if I stick to one flavor after how many refills should I clean them?

Thank you so much for these links!

You're most welcome.

When you buy the coils in the first link do you get the box with that same writing on it. I'd buy a couple packs just to have the boxes. Goonk Not Leaking no burnt smell.

No such luck. Though, of course I actually ended up with the second link, sadly my box came without the inscription. ;) Wicks and coils have been working fine none the less.
