¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think you're right @UncLeJunkLe. According to a very brief Google search it's actually somewhat comparable to steel: "The electrical conductivity of titanium is 18 MS/m, the electrical conductivity of stainless steel ranges between 10-50 MS/m, and copper has an electrical conductivity of 100-400 MS/m." (source). So the previous article I read was misleading.

In light of that, I don't think it's a good choice for this application.

After all, while it may not be a good conductor for electrical applications, many do use it for vape coils.

The tweezers, IMO are not a necessity. They'll mainly be for tucking fluff.

For the coil maker, I have scads of ideas and stuff in my shop to get creative and proficient. A micro drill chuck or straight cordless screwdriver, a rod bent into a crank. I'm pondering...lol

Just to give you something to aspire to, here's a pic of the official world champion vape tool kit. It sits at the back of my kitchen table by the window. The magnifiers hang on the wall with a pile of small paper towel pieces next to the box. A bag of rayon usually sits on top of the tool kit but it wouldn't make for a good pic. I keep a small plastic tub by the sink with scissors and gripper strips for dismantling tanks and removing wicks and coils. Took years to get it all set up just the way I like it. Everything I need right there, never have to go looking for a tool. And I can drink a coffee and watch TV while I work.

Inevitably, there is always a method to the madness.

I'll probably toss all the parafinailia for building into a plastic organizer box and call it good...lol.

Yeah - I used a plastic box for years. Trouble is all the small stuff ends up at the bottom and the big stuff on top. Finding the winding pins and so forth got to be a pain. Organisation was definitely an improvement.

Oh, I most definitely agree. I was heavily into the radio control hobby. Planes, helicopters, cars, trucks, boats, kit-built, scratch-built, in probably every way possible. I built a custom box for each category, to carry batteries, starter motors, radios, and everything I could possibly need related, to avoid the day coming to an unpredicted end, because I usually traveled an hour to get where I played with them. (I was into gas two and four-stroke and nitro fuel.) That was just for out in the field. My hobby room and building area was very similar. I was captain of our club for many years. I still have everything, I just haven't touched any of it in probably 20 years now.

Back in the 70's I messed around with radio controlled gliders a bit. It was new and you couldn't buy parts, had to build everything by hand. We drove an hour or so out of London to a popular flying location. There was a long straight fairly low hillside, when the wind blew just right there was a steady gentle breeze blowing up the hill. Perfect for launching. Those were good times even with the primitive 2 channel technology we had.

I should probably get a bit better organized with my kit,

My wicking scissors and tweezer don't fit in the coiling case and there are a few other things that are scattered about but fairly close at hand (coil brushes, big Coily tool, needle nose, drill bits/mandrels)

I miss being involved in the hobby. When our clubs R/C shop closed the doors, slow but sure the local member involvement deteriorated. We leased a plot of land, 140 acres @ $1/yr. We had a parking area, pit area, portable toilets, benches and a 300ft grass runway.

Here's my kit. Tried to set it up so I could throw it in the car and be able to build, if I need to.

Flathead and philips screwdrivers do double duty for making 2.5mm and 3mm coils.

I try to travel light, but not necessarily tidy.

Nice and streamlined. You inspired me to clean out the stuff I never use in my kit.

My organizational setup leaves a little to be desired. I got some vapemail in this box eight or nine years ago, and I'm still using it to hold my supplies. My rebuilding routine isn't real complicated.

It works. Indeed, it works for @WorksForMe

I mean, my toolbox is just my first eGo case.

Been wrapping my own coils for over 10 years now, and the one tool I can't wrap without is a paperclip. Just gotta have my trusty little paperclip. Otherwise I will wrap too tight around my Silica wick and choke it off.

I find that a desk drawer is all I need to hold my tools and supplies.
I just set here and wrap up a dozen coils while I play around on ecf.
So now that that's done, guess I'll go take a shower & head for breakfast.
