If you use a coil that is not compatible with your device, it would probably not work, maybe they won't fit, etc. It is very important that you use coils that are compatible with the Von Erl S1 ( can't really tell you where to find them, sorry ). Can you use 1.0 or 1.5 ohm coils? You have to read the manual that came with your device, see how low and how high ( in ohms ) it can handle.

Hi,

New to this forum and to vaping, I use the Von Erl S1 with 1.2ohm coils. I have read in one of the forums (Veteran Victor) that coils for this E-cigarette are compatible with Ego-one coils. But I can't find Ego one 1.2 coils. Is it possible to use 1.0 or 1.5 ohm coils ? What is the effect on vaping with different coils ?

If it by default runs 1.2ohm coils, I'd be leery enough to research what the minimum resistance the mods/device's chipset can handle and maximum amps the circuit allows when looking at the 1.0ohm (going lower resistance, on a set voltage device the watts will increase as well as the amp load), the 1.5ohm there will be no real problem (higher resistance, on a set voltage device the watts will be lower as well as the amps needed will be lower). That is assuming the Ego-One coil heads are even compatable with the tank. This is a downside to running older technology from an off brand clone of a mainstream device, lack of availability and information on such a device, makes researching them more difficult for detailed specifications, and leads to speculation. Looking at my search results, the images of the coil heads for that device look "Similar" to the Ego One coil heads, but you do not know if the threading pitch and diameter are the same or the height is the same as the authentic Joyetech heads.

I would buy the Joyetech coils and take the chance. Now, I can't speak for the rest of the world but in Europe your brand is another re-badge effort taking existing hardware and doubling the price. *sigh*
Let's say the coils don't really work - then buy the correct Joyetech tank and escape these cowboys by using mainstream equipment where greedy businessman are not taking advantage.
I'm 95% sure it's Joyetech and it takes the eGo coils.
