So your getting .075 ohm's per wrap of the 28 guage. I got that number by dividing .90 by 12. You need a bigger rod to wrap your coils on, if your using a drill bit go up a size and do I dont know 10 or 12 wraps and check the ohms with 1 coil. Then you can calculate what your really need. For dual coils the total is cut in have so the resistance of one coil installed on your atty will be the same resistance as two installed coils if they are exactly the same size.

Hope that helps

I believe there's apps for that too.

These things. Yes, there is a steam engine app. At least on Android... which leads me to believe it's on iPhone as well.

This plus a good ohm's law calculator (plenty of apps for that) are what I consider essential to coil building.

EDIT: You need to know what diameter your coils are. This will be the diameter of whatever you're wrapping the coil on. If you're using a 5/64" drill bit, that'll be the inner diameter of your coil is (assuming you're wrapping a nice tight coil). You need to know this for steam engine to be of any use.
