Does anyone have an dos/don'ts for cold weather vaping?

If use mainly eGo batts with various clearomizers and mostly VG juice. What's the freezing point of e-juice? Sometimes it's been so cold that lighters don't seem to work, and trying to finagle matches with icicle fingers was not fun, so hurrah that those are things of the past! But will my PVs endure a Vermont winter?

Hypothetically, if I left a PV in my car for a couple of days in sub-zero temps, would it be OK? Could it be used right off the bat or should it be warmed up by my body heat first?

I read somewhere about cartos shrinking and coming off in the cold or something? I don't use cartridges.

Are different juice delivery systems better for cold weather? I could see actual glass as a problem with breaking. Various plastics seem like they could easily crack. Then there's the stress from being so cold and then heating up with vaping. Metal I don't know.

I had a box of beer in glass bottles in my car once that I forgot about over a winter vacation...I just don't want anything like that happening to my PVs.

Oh gosh, I just realized that during the winter we sometimes go many days without power. Maybe I /should/ stock up on some of those spare eGos... Or get some solar powerhouse going...just gotta make sure the snow doesn't cover the windows...

Here's not that cold but remember batteries suffer greatly in cold weather. When going out keep your batteries in an inner pocket near you, where body heat keeps them warm. If you can switch to a greater PG proportion, VG being water based, freezes easily. There are cell phone chargers like Sony Cycle Energy that has 4000 mAh, stock on several, or keep a car battery and an AC inverter, to charge your batteries fast.

Now what's up with people who store regular alkaline batteries in the freezer? Or was that a thing of the past?

And what you're saying is that my dark and thick VG chocolate mint e-juice won't fare well while I'm out in the tundra with my ViVi Nova and 350mAh ego?

Gosh. Am I glad I'm trading my VV eGo I just got since it had a recessed button. I cannot imagine how I'd be able to press that thing with mittens or gloves on, was hard enough for me on its own. OOO!!! Vaping without scorching gloves or making them smelly! No more smoking gloves! WOOOO!! Oh gosh, and no more smelly hats or scarves! I can share my winter gear with those in need and not be self-conscious about the cigarette stench! What what?! Give it up for vapin'! WOoo Woooo.

I'd get one of those batteries with the rubberized black cover instead of my metal battery on my Kgo. Also as previously stated, ditch the metal drip tip. It'll stick to your lips. Haha. That would be funny huh. Ditch the plastic drip tips too. They'll break in the cold. Get a Delrin drip tip. And for gosh sakes...don't leave your gear in the car!

It gets so cold in Wyoming that the tires on the pickup get flat on one side. Ya hafta drive for quite awhile till the tires get warmed up & become round again. LOL

I'd say that a Juice won't freeze, just become jelly. And it's not a very bad for a battery. Just stuff it in indide pocket for a couple of minutes before use. It might be problem charging batteries in sub zero temps.
And for a power outages, there are solar chargers with a 2000mAh reserve priced 20-ish $, but it will charge internal battery panfully slow.
If a battery needs 4 hours to charge from the mains, it'll need double or even more time to charge off a daylight.
However, when You plug in a e-cig battery it is charged from a device internal battery at a normal rate.
I think of getting one to keep it in my car, under a windshield with a spare battery connected, just in case.
Because a lighter adapters are charging only when car is running (contact key on).

Not all. Mine charges from the lighter adapter running or not, keys in or out. It's my charging plan for power failures this winter, as it's always how I've charged my phones and other small things when the power is out.

Nooooooo! batts always at room temp, all of them. Heat and cold kill them.

I can't repeat it enough, check your tires when the first cold/heat wave strikes. And if temps go up/down more than 10 degrees, check them again. Heat makes tires expand

I've noticed my juice delivery systems have been leaking more than usual. Leaking through the bottom, where it connects to the battery. I sometimes sense a gurgling and then check the connection and then find pooled juice on the battery connection. This has been when I've used various cartomizer devices. Could this be because it's gotten significantly colder here? Or is it just that things will crap out the move they're used?

I am in the Midwest. We do a lot of Ice Fishing in the winter. It can get colder than a well digger's ... .. ;-)~ It will be my first non analog ice fishing trip. Never thought about my e-cig equipment until stumbling on this thread. Yikes!!!! Guess I will have to fashion a battery cozy out of one of my hand warmers. Or... I could keep it in my shirt pocket next to my flask (for medicinal purposes). Either way, I may have order something a little more pocket friendly than my long twist batts to take out there. Daum!! "Just when I think I'm done ordering sh@$, they pull me back in.. ;-(
