Where are you seeing the blemished 'varis? I can't find them on the site- I only see the discontinued chrome, which has jumped in price from $219.95 to $999.99!

The "blemished" Provari's show up in the CLEARANCE section of the Provapes website. If there aren't any listed, then they've sold out. Just check the CLEARANCE section regularly. Have your credit/debit card ready because if you don't act fast, they'll be gone. I ordered mine around 2pm the day I bought it; later that night, they were gone. Mine was $149.95 just for the Provari and I can't find a single "blemish" on the thing.
Totally agree powercoating would be more reliable have been wondering this myself.

Its cerakote. Ceramic style coating often found on firearms. It's plenty durable.

I've seen many hand painted, decorated Provari's, perhaps you should go do a search, and then repeat after rinse' til your hearts content.
